UserJS for MegaMillions.com

, , ,

The US national lottery, MegaMillions, uses a very old browser sniffer developed around the time of Opera 6. This fragile browser sniffer breaks the DHTML menu and news scroller for Opera 8+ users. The following User JS was developed to allow access to these DHTML elements on the MegaMillions website:

Download/view megaMillions.js
if (document.domain.match(/^(www\.)?megamillions\.com$/)) {
    window.opera.defineMagicVariable("Opera6",
      function() { return 1; },
      null);

    window.opera.defineMagicVariable("dom",
      function() { return 1; },
      null);
  }

For those of you who play MegaMillions and visit their website, enjoy!

Funny. The last I checked, the United States didn't have a National Lottery.

On a related note, can you say PowerBall? I knew you could....
