About me

I am a friendly, honest open and straight up person. I have a BA degree in Philosophy. I enjoy running, gym, swimming and eventually cycling again. I also enjoy tramping/hiking. I love movies, cafes, coffee, tea, dining out, hanging with mates. I have a dry sense of humour which can be hard for people to get sometimes but that is me. I enjoy life.

My work

As I said I have a BA degree in Philosophy and spent time working for one of my lecturers on developing a virtual online archive on the work of Alan Turing and a History of Digital Electronic Computers. It is interesting as I have learnt a lot about the early development of computers especially in the UK. My primary research interests lie in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics (Autonomous Robots especially), Cognitive Science, Ethics, Learning and Development. I am also interested in justice. That last one is likely to cause a few raised eyebrows as people have a wide range of ideas as to what counts as justice. Always interesting.
