About me
I was born in West Haven Connecticut in 1943, moved to Orange County California in 1970. On June 15, 2006 we moved to the Mojave Desert. I live in Needles California with my lovely wife Luana. We were married on December 28 1982. We have two canine companions, an American Eskimo and a Bichonoodle, also a feline companion, a Black Tiger Tabby that's a treasure and a pleasure. We live in the middle of the Mojave Desert next to the Fort Mojave Tribe (Aha Macav) Reservation on historical Route-66 (The Mother Road) by the beautiful Colorado River. This area is known as "The Tri-State Area" because it is where Arizona, California and Nevada all come together at the Colorado River. We are very happy here even though the temperature can get up to 120 degrees at times (a thousand blessings on whoever it was that invented air conditioning), because it is a dry heat and the humidity is very low.
We spend most of our time working on our web sites and blogs, but still manage to find some time to to hit the casinos and explore the area around our new home
My work
I worked as a Technical Support Analyst for Nextel Communications running their Hot-Line out of my home office, 7/24/365, nights, weekends and holidays until I became disabled in 1999. I still am disabled. It was a great job, working at home in an office that was better equipped than most business offices. I loved what I did, was very good at it, even got awards for my work, and the pay was excellent, with raises that included stock options. It was the perfect job for me.Fast facts

Why I choose the Opera browser
I chose the Opera browser years ago because it is safe, fast, feature-rich and free. I like the speed and convenience of having the eMail client embedded in the browser so it opens instantly, no waiting for it to load. I like the feature that lets you scroll when in full screen mode without having a scroll bar by clicking at the top or bottom of the screen and I especially like the "Fit To Window Width" feature so I no longer have to scroll back and forth when I am on a larger width web page. Plus, it's a great looking browser with even more skins, setups, menus and especially widgets that you can download allowing you to customize it to your hearts desire. The more I use it, the more features I find and the better I like it. Bottom line... it's a pure joy to use. Safer, Faster, Better!
