MeeboMe Offers Cobrowsing

Librarian In Black ( Sarah Houghton-Jan) posted yesterday about new features in MeeboMe, the favorite, most popular and widely adopted instant messaging application in libraries.

"Meebo has just announced a new service: chat rooms where people can gather and talk, share resources, and more. You can name your chat rooms and rooms can be public or private.” explains Sarah. To get an idea of how the new chat rooms look like take a glimpse at the picture below created by Librarian in Black.

One of the new exciting MeeboMe features is cobrowsing, which is very important for virtual chat reference, since the librarian and the customer can both look at the same webpage.

Currently many libraries haven’t switched to MeeboMe for virtual reference because it didn’t offer any cobrowsing. I guess after the new offer more libraries will be "meebomeeing".
