New York City Starts Vendor Search Database

A new New York City Vendor Search database with more information about all the vendors that do business with the city was announced recently by Gary Price and his indispensable ResourceShelf blog.
Information in the database comes from the VENDEX questionnaires, which vendors are supposed to fill in once every three years with more information about their businesses.
I guess this is local New York City information but here at the Cyber Center at Queens Library we get all kinds of questions that is why it is important to know all the local government resources. For example two days ago I was called to help a customer who wanted to find more information on future New York City construction projects.
