Open Source Software In Libraries

The open source software is very often the only option for libraries with low budgets to install new technology .
If you are not familiar with the major open source applications the article in iDegreeTutor by Eric Hebert will give you a basic idea of who the main players are.
To complete the list of open source software for libraries I will add Apache ( open source web server ), MySQL(open source database software )and PHP( open source programming language ).
