Anybody working in libraries and especially public libraries can tell you how important reference sources about disabilities are. I found a relatively new government website about disabilities that I want to bring to your attention.
DisabilityInfo.gov is a collaborative effort among twenty-two federal agencies, and it covers employment, education, housing, transportation, health and technology related disability benefits.
“Visit any of the nine subject areas at the top of this page to find disability-related resources, and then click on the State and Local Resources map to locate programs and information in your state."
I also recommend that you click on the "Other Resources" link and explore all the other federal portals of information like Consumer.gov, Fedstats.gov, GovBenefits.gov, and Grants.gov.
