Dusty Fingers MiX
A Taste of Vinyl Production

Dusty Fingers is a series of compilation records that are widely admired as breakbeats. Some of the songs featured in the series contain "open breaks" which enable DJs to easily transition into them, as well as attractive to producers who loop or rearrange them to create new compositions.

Following in the tradition of the "Ultimate Breaks and Beats" series, the Dusty Fingers records, 15 in all, contain an eclectic range of musical styles: mainly funk and jazz, but also include soul, rock, disco, and pop. Most are very obscure U.S and Euopean tracks dating from the late '60's and continuing through the mid to late '70's. These tracks are treasured by music conoisseurs and DJs.

The common, but hard to define thread in all of these songs is that they are "funky". The Dusty Fingers selection is even more obscure than that of "Ultimate Breaks and Beats" or Strictly Breaks. Many of the songs in the Dusty Fingers series have been sampled into new musical compositions, mainly by hip hop producers.

Here, Producer/DJ Deaf Timbo gets down with his bad self  and offers his Funky MiX Master treatment of samples from the 15 album offering of Dusty Fingers.

This MiX has straight ahead jazz and funk with a little crime sounds thrown in because that is what you want. Most of you regulars, if you look at the track list closely, will see some of the aritsts that make appearances here from time to time. A bit of a departure from the normal Licorice Pizza fare but a very good MiX of tunes nonetheless and I highly reccomend giving this one a spin. You won't be sorry! Enjoy!

Yeah difference between Ultimate Breaks and beats and Dusty is the dude that puts it together is a big Library Music Fan of KPM & DeWolfe he said in an Interview with soulman. These Compilations are essential to get and this Mix of all the volumes is GREAT!

PS - BOOSEY 3052 is Sound Studio Orchestra - "Tournament" off SoHO Heat Lounge Comp.

Since I don't understand what you just said. I guess not. I blended the end of one song into the next. Sorry it is not that complex.
