I had a really good weekend. Friday after work was a fun filled evening of unexpected surprises!

The weekend begun at 6pm when I finished work. My bf and I went to the cinema to watch the much praised 'Nacho Libre' with Jack Black. A very funny and entertaining film. After the film had finished, my bf and I were deciding what to do for food whilst wandering back to the car. I suggested some food at 'Itsu' the Sushi restaurant, to which he agreed. So we made our way up to 'Itsu' having a laugh and a joke.

Not long after we had sat down to eat, my bf received a phone call from his friend from Surrey. He was on his way to London to watch a friend of his do a singing set in this swish bar in the West End. He invited us to go with him as he could get us on guestlist, so we did! The girl in question was brilliant and I would suggest you check her out ----> Danielle Senior. She has a lovely voice and some wicked beats

So anyway, after her set, the place turned into a mini nightclub (in a bar). I was in my element - They played hip-hop, R&B, Dancehall and D.I.S.C.O. ha ha - I had a blast! I danced solid until 3.30 am, maybe even 4am! I wouldn't know as I was pretty smashed! P:

So the following morning, I didn't get up until just before midday. My bf got up a little later which I found surprising as he wasn't drinking as he was driving. Once he was up though, it was all go... I had bought some pillows from Ikea on Friday for him and he needed to get some other bits and pieces too... so we went to Asda and sorted that all out. When we got back to the flat, we did a lot of cleaning as the painter had been in on Friday. So after we exhausted ourselves doing that we decided - lets go to the movies again!!!

Early that evening, we went to the cinema to watch 'Scanner Darkly' which stars Keanu Reeves, Woody Harlson and Robert Downey Jr. The lead female part is played by Winona Ryder. It was really weird to be honest and at times I totally missed the plot, but it all comes together at the end. Probably made better by the fact that it was animated though. We like a little bit of creativity in film and this one sure had that. Our evening was finished off by watching the first 'Match of the Day' of the new season. Arsenal drew with Aston Villa 1-1. Rubbish for the first match at the new stunning Emirates Stadium.

Sunday was a day for relaxing. I went to Canary Wharf and did a little shopping and had a Starbucks. Then it was back to the flat to loaf and chill out on the net!

* The pic above is a pic I took at the David and Goliath shop in Covent Garden. I have one of the orange monkeys and he's' called Moo - I love him dearly! lol!
