Intimidation is a defensive posture; an attempt to disguise one's vulnerabilities. A gradual descent, putting on a few pounds over time, I have let my hair grow as though a few extra pounds, long hair and a beard might give the impression of a little more weight to throw around.
I don't consider myself a tough man, although I must admit, I wouldn't want to meet me in a dark alley sfter the show.
