My own self

Loki's sensible nonsense of nonsensical sense

V

, ,

for Viewed movie.

Anyways, it was good. Better than good, it was great. As an adaption of the comic-book, it stayed true to the soul of it, and though somewhat creative with its specifics, all in all I feel it came rather close to the original. Some events where shifted aroud chronologically, but mostly to good effect. I missed two things, though - the explicit line about how the bishop was murdered, and the comment from V about a "Viking funeral". Also, the megacomputer from the books was not there, but that's also understandable - such a computer isn't as scary or sci-fi now as it was when the comic was made, and its removal places the focus on, to me, more interesting parts of the story. It can really be seen just as an adjustment of the same kind as "The Voice" being on the television.
Also, there were a slight tweaking of Evey's persona, but it worked well.

But I loved it. Portman was wonderful, Weaving was wonderful, the guy playing the high chancellor was wonderful, and to my great and joyous surprise, Stephen Fry was in it, starring in the role I'd say was perhaps the one mostly changed in the movie, the role of the character providing shelter for Evey midway through the comic-version.

The ending, too, was slightly changed, but it worked very well.

I'll give this movie a 9/10 as an independent movie, and a 8,5/10 as an adaption of the comic-book. Excellent stuff.

Whoop-de-doo!In all seriousness
