Yeah, I was torn. They wrote both G and C as "C", you see, and the common short for "Gaius" was thus "C.", so while his name is technically "Gaius", the proper way of spelling it as far as I know is "Caius".

I know. Confusing. I'm not even sure I've gotten it right.
