The idea of shining and polishing a precious stone gets to me best for producing writing. I'll produce a treasure of my mind. At least is seems like a jewel of writing to me. Unfortunately I like to polish and cut so much that nothing remains of the meaning by the end of my process.
Secondly I have cut down on going hog wild on buttercream frosting. Instead I enjoyed a coffee cake for snack that had real blueberries in it. I'll save a fortune and cut back my weight at once.
Finally there is a local non profit that has writing space for anyone in the afternoon. Later, I'll sit down with the netbook and the aircard and make an effort to produce something of meaning.
Unlike the feedback of people on the Internet, that which I received from my peers in real life was all helpful and constructive. My sense of their responses indicated to me that I produced a few paragraphs of meaningful writing.
You may wonder about my activities over the past winter. Below find a page from my journal.
The idea of fixedly collecting tools rather than building a skill sounds questionable. I consider the expression of, “putting the cart before the horse.” My collecting of pens led me to realize that the ancient way of writing with a steel point is the best way for me to write.
Why would anyone use a ballpen given a better than average selection of excellent fountain pens? To start, sometimes a fountain pen will run out of ink. Secondly a fountain pen does not so well sign those slippery debit card bills that I get from my favorite coffee shop. Another reason involves someone at school who may require a pen to borrow, in which case a ballpen is in order. A ballpen does not get easily wrecked, and the price of a good one like my Caran Dache frosty ballpen, after postage together with a silky, smooth, softroll refill will challenge that of a Noodler’s resin fountain pen at about sixteen dollars U.S.
I usually dislike shooting characters in video games. Likewise, I don’t understand people who extol shooting games as a manly pursuit. I know that many people enjoy shooting virtual characters that may be human or computer driven based on the huge number of titles in the first person shooter genre. If I could score in those first person shooter games, the stress of them would still preclude me.
I play puzzle, simulation and platforming video games in order to relax and to escape. The most violent video game that I played in my youth was one with fantasy violence that was Galaga.

My best memories of Tokyo from the 1990s occurred at the
Comme des Garcons shop of Aoyama and at the electronics district where I saw a demo of Nintendogs for the NDS console. The cute puppy would frolic in computer space there on the street of Tokyo.
I call myself A dog fancier though I don’t have the means of time and energy for looking after a real bio dog. Hence I had gone for the AIBO robotic dog which went out of production in roughly 2006. At the 90s in Tokyo, Nintendogs had the wonder of AIBO without the robotic dog’s delicate hardware. I knew that I had to get Nintendogs even though its kawaii style was unseemly for a man of my age.
When Nintendogs did arrive in the U.S.A. I took to running my adorable, software pug dog on automatic for entertainment in the coffee shop while I completed my writing or looked at the Internet.
Since Nintendogs is rather monotonous after a while for the tasks of simulated feeding and walking in the computer space of the NDS console, I gave it up after many hours of service. Now I have an x10 phone from S-E. and a PSP for entertainment for the few minutes that I sit at a time in a coffee shop because the clerks in coffee shops are not so hospitable as they were in the previous decade.
If I’m on the road, I may also check into my Foopets.com which for me is the next iteration of the virtual pet and a social network dominated by girls. I just put my foopet into the kennel for the rest of the month.
I imagine that the next version of Nintendogs on the upcoming 3DS console will look more compelling than did the old software on the Tokyo street, and probably the tasks and mini games will suit a child more than it will suit me.
An online clipping and organizing site called Springpad.com does wonders for containing links and screen captures of webpages that I find when planning new purchases or Internet posts.
In contrast to the more traditional pc-based program from Microsoft called Onenote 2007, my notes in Springpad.com live on remote servers. I hate to admit that Onenote is too powerful for me though Microsoft’s program does feature many search tools.
Springpad.com’s tagged and chronological organization give me more value for writing than do the piles of screen captures that I tended to accumulate with the free form plan of Onenote.
I appreciate the simple structure of Springpad.com. Plus Springpad.com has the support of advertising and thus comes at no cost to me.
Springpad.com is great fun and it has a real flair in its design. When I stumbled the app for my Android phone, I installed Springpad.com immediately. That was my gateway the fully featured website of Springpad.com

Springpad Review | Productivity501
Springpad fits nicely into the niche that it was meant to fill. It is easy to use, has a simple user interface and takes little time investment while it has the potential to give significant returns.
"Much like Evernote, Springpad has a web page clipper that lets the user capture information directly from their browser into the online notebook.

What is the good of a smile? At least a smile indicates to someone that I do not have angry intent against them. There are many other benefits to a smile. A full smile that causes crinkles around the eyes is the best kind for changing one’s mood, and there is not always a definite cause and effect for a smile. A smile may cause a good mood or the good mood may come first in time.
A smile will boost your immune system. Relaxation that comes from smiling has a direct relationship to your physical health.
In my walking around town to burn up my calories, sometimes I will pass people who look serious. Usually they are the people who live in the best neighborhoods who are most prone to frowning, in my informal experience.
Yesterday I walked in a neighborhood and snapped pictures. The light was low as sunset approached. Rather than making the energy to greet strangers in the city as I may easily have done in a small town, I chose to look at the passing strangers’ shoes. That way I wasn’t embarrassed my overfriendly behavior, and the person didn’t feel challenged when I tried to make eye contact. The encounters seemed strained to me.
From now on I will make more of an effort to smile and so to enjoy my encounters with people on my walks. I know that a smile will improve my mood. Possibly the contagious effect of a smile will help to lighten the mood of a neighbor in the process.

" Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress. Best of all, this priceless medicine is fun, free, and easy to use.

Following this find a list of some tools that may add favorably to your walking time:
Wristwatch with unidirectional bezel – A unidirectional bezel is a marked frame around a diving wristwatch that allows you to easily note the start of a walk. That type of bezel on a wristwach is optional.
In the northern climes, one can easily get to the end of the day and sense that he has accomplished nothing. A person may sleep past the morning and then there is only five hours of daytime left in the day.
My first tip for walking in the winter is to get in the steps as soon as possible. I don’t do much in the morning except for having a light breakfast. Then I brush my teeth. Following that, I get on my track suit and walking shoes and head out, assuming that the weather is not too rainy.
At the start of the winter, I quickly found out that I was not getting in so many steps as I did in the seasons of nice weather. I lowered my goal for walking through the winter. My second tip for getting in the steps for the winter is to go easy. It may be necessary to plan to get in fewer steps during the day.
It is impossible to avoid the inclement weather. Thirdly, It may be a good idea to get a bus pass and then hop onto the bus when it is necessary.
Finally, I find that I do well to walk whenever I can. If there is noise or activity in the house with my roommate, my first instinct is to get out of the house when I may. My best solitude is on the way to the coffee shop and then returning from there to the house. Also, as weather permits, I will walk from everyday errands such as to the bank or to the post office.
For the past ten years, I traditionally wrote in a coffee shop that is about a quarter of a mile from the house. A marketing blog entitled Rhodiadrive.com awakened in me the pleasure and convenience of writing on the knee. It is easy for people to pull up a chair, often, in a coffee shop when a table is not available.
Yesterday, as I walked into the coffee shop that is by the park, an easy chair beckoned to me. After I procured my bergamot black tea, I nestled myself in the easy chair then put on my isolating earphones. Then I started the Slacker Radio with the Indie channel on my ‘Droid phone.
Sometimes it is possible to find recreation by scribbling down thoughts for reflection and development. My desire was for a sustained flash of inspiration that I could share with my readers when I sat yesterday. I worked for 30 minutes and felt satisfied because at least the time and space that I created allowed me to relax though I didn’t produce a something that could lead to my masterpiece. Then I heard a loud knock on the glass window that was next to my table.
A made up lady in a heavy ski coat situated herself outside my window and she was barely protected from the large drops of rain that started to pour outside of the coffee shop unbeknownst to me as I enjoyed writing with my MB fountain pen. She was obviously unhappy with her situation as there were by then no other places in which to sit in the coffee shop. The rain had driven indoors the people who were enjoying the nearby park, and now my warm spot in the easy chair was suddenly a premium space.
I packed up my supplies and then made my way from the easy chair. Soon after I rose from my relaxed state, the made up woman rushed into my warm spot.
She caused me to finish my moments of recreation. The lady showed me obviously that usually someone will eagerly take my place after my work is finished.

Use a watch to time for fifteen minutes
I use the Personal Trainer pedometer and NDS software to set my goals in walking. If you don’t want to invest so much to get going with a walking program, there are plenty of resources that will help you with your walking so that you may increase your stamina.
For starting a walking program, you may want to consider gentle stretching for five minutes prior to your walk. If you are not motivated to stretch, at first, then I suggest that you may simply go out and get some walking for fifteen minutes \.
You may want to walk for fifteen minutes for three days per week for your starting month of the walking program. All you need is a simple watch or a cell phone with a clock function to measure the fifteen minutes.
If you have been basically sedentary for a year or more, it may be a good idea for you to discuss your plans for walking with your family doctor.
Walking is a great way to improve your health — both mental and physical. If you can carve out some time from your busy schedule, you can design a walking program that will work for you. In planning your walking program, keep the following points in mind
Contact your medical provider for a check-up or consultation before you begin your walking program…
Walking is one of the easiest ways to get the exercise you need to stay healthy.
Experts recommend at least 2½ hours of moderate activity (such as brisk walking, brisk cycling, or yard work) a week. It's fine to walk in spurts of 10 minutes or more throughout your day and week.
Walking is the easiest way for you to begin the exercise habit. Not only can you do it almost anywhere... it's free!
What is loomi?
I chose the name of Loomi for my nom de plume because I liked the term of wristwatches. Loomi a technical term for glow in the dark illumination. At that time, I didn’t know about a homonym of loomi.
- [Loomi is ]The Swatch with the active, glowing face. An electroluminescent layer glows with energy from the battery.

More commonly Loomi is a spice from Persia made of boiled and dried limes. In the process, the limes turn black and then the black limes are grated like black pepper. The taste is supposed to have a flavor that is quite different from pepper.
I will actively search for a source of loomi spice. I’ll post my results if I am successful in tasting loomi.

How many positive habits do you have? I may count my helpful habits on one hand. Walking daily, drinking water, getting sleep and writing are my good habits. I assume that most people want to add a positive habit, and adding a habit that helps is supposed to pose less challenges than that of stopping a negative habit.
I gained weight with all of the good food that I had at my fingertips. Walking daily is a habit that I added by measuring my steps. The software on my NDS provided the goal setting. I rewarded myself by taking treats after I reached my walking goals.
It was my habit, during the days of summer, to walk from the house to downtown for a two mile walk. I brought with me my camera for taking photos, pen and paper for writing and a digital media player in addition to my step measuring device. These items provided the best breaks for my walking routine. Importantly, I also brought my card for the coffee shop because at the end of my walk is the glorious cupcake house where I could get a treat and write a weblog after I walked two miles. That is where I do my best writing as well. Believe it or not that way I lost about 15 lbs. over the course of a few seasons. My best reward was seeing the world that was around me. The loss of weight was almost a byproduct of my program for walking.

Sometimes a person needs an ink pen that can withstand some abuse. Once, while I volunteered at our public library, I was startled. My ink pen went flying and my Stipula resin pen cap crashed to the concrete floor and broke into pieces. That accident traumatized me, and I have searched for an ink pen that will witstand concrete floors in coffee shops.
I thought about the Rotring 600 fountain pen that is legendary. However, the price of that one is prohibitive. The Rotring 600 is a collector’s piece that I would be afraid to lose.
Somewhere I read of the 80s era Montblanc Noblesse fountain pen. You may be amazed to know that MB made a sturdy pen of steel that makes a perfect beater pen. That Noblesse pen can withstand all sorts of mistreatment and not show a dent.
After searching on Ebay.com for the elusive Noblesse pen, I settled on an example that was slightly defective and in Tokyo. A reputable Ebay.com seller had that one, and I knew that I could get it. I settled on a bid of about $100 U.S. and won it. The pen came to me in four layers of immaculate packaging, and I immediately loaded it with MB sepia colored ink.
The Noblesse is now my beater pen with which I go to all sorts of places when I walk. It has a fine nib and excellent qualities for writing in my notebook. It slips easily into the pocket of my notebook.

A dedicated walking program can turn out great for losing calories and improving body functioning. If you build in a break to your writing or a destination of a mall, coffee shop or park, you may want to consider the following gear for your trip.
I have been walking a dedicated program for the past year and the benefits have been great. Additionally I like to work for my class while in the midst of my walking routine. Since I live near many coffee shops I can easily build in a stop.
At the coffee shop I will frequently plug in my PSP with SenseMe music selection and isolating earphones to distract me from the sounds of people in my immediate vicinity and of the coffee machine that supply me with writing energy.
I carry a superlative, orange notebook for classwork. Two other notebooks with refills of paper supply me with material for journaling and planning. I carry two fountain pens and a supply of ink in a pouch for ample writing time.
The other items which add to the mix are my e reader and my digital camera. Sometimes, on my walk I found great photos that illustrated my journal. I carry several sets of earphones for different applications. Finally, I have vision supplies of contact lens solution and sunglasses.
What do you carry with you on a day to today basis to augment your studies and adventures? In the future I may carry a small tablet computer to log onto the Internet at liesure and on the road.

You may do well to accept hair loss
Most men have some hair loss by the time that they are 50 years old. Taking care of the hair and scalp may be in order if you are concerned, as many men are, about their hair. Unfortunately most of the people who engaged in active programs to restore their hair found that the results were unsatisfactory.
“Most baldness cures just don’t cut it, according to a new Consumer
Reports magazine survey of more than 8,000 men and women who have
personal experience with hair loss.” Read more at

Genes Cause 90% of Male Hair Loss
“Though hereditary, the trait may be more influenced by your mother’s family than your father’s. So a look at your maternal grandfather’s locks may give you a better clue about the future of yours.” Read more at
Slideshow: What Your Hair & Scalp Say About Your Health -www.webmd.com
Though all of the facts the lead to hair loss are not known, it is now thought that perhaps the mother’s genes are mostly involved in the determination for a person’s chances to endure hair loss. One common myth about hair loss says that f a man’s father is bald, he’ll go bald, too.
If you are a smoker, and you are concerned about hair loss, first stop smoking.
“Several studies show a significant relationship between smoking and how fast male-pattern baldness gets worse. So if you need one more reason to quit smoking, add early hair loss to your list.”
Another possible cause of hair loss seems to point to side effects of medication.
A Hair- and Heart-Healthy Diet
“Keep hair shiny by eating salmon for omega-3 fatty acids; spinach and carrots for vitamin A; brazil nuts for selenium; and oysters and walnuts for zinc. All help maintain scalp and hair health, as do low-fat dairy, whole grains, and vegetables. Double the results: foods good for your hair are also good for your heart.” Pasted from <http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/slideshow-hair-and-scalp-conditions>
For a basic overview of Coconut water for those who have not experienced the pleasure of drinking it,
The primary benefit of coconut water as compared to plain water is first electrolytes. An electrolyte is a chemical that conducts electrical signals in the body. With coconut water the electrolyte is potassium. A banana has nearly as much potassium as a cup of coconut water.
Besides hydration and replenishing electrolytes in the body, other benefits of coconut water are numerously detailed in article linked below this.
For many of us in the relatively cooler climate of N. America and N. Europe, the cultivation and harvesting of coconuts for coconut water may be fascinating.
As a sport drink, coconut water will not replace the much maligned Gatorade, though, because coconut water does not have the necessary sodium content that the body needs in extreme sports.

It sounds funny for me to recommend that people drink a caffeinated beverage in order to relax, and evidence shows that black tea has a chemical in it that promotes relaxation.
The English people and the Indian people have taken black tea for centuries, and they well know the diminishing returns of taking black tea. Obviously moderation is the key. Polyphenols which may open the blood vessels are taken with caffeinated tea. Caffeine, in contrast, raises the heart rate. Apparently, coffee does not have a beneficial effect on Cholesterol as black tea does.
This leads to the question of whether decaffeinated black tea has more of a beneficial effect. Unfortunately, at this time, it is not known whether or not the decaffeination process removes the beneficial polyphenols of black tea. [Coffee contains different polyphenols compared to black tea, and caffeine increases the amount of cortisol in the blood stream. Cortisol is a compound related to stress.
