Urban Way Station

The break at Porchlight coffee shop allows me to refresh and build my walking routine and then it allows me to walk farther.
The owner of the Porchlight will often pull the espresso shots and play independent music from his collection of vinyl records that are on sale in the shop. He makes a great difference.
Besides all of the good tasting, listening & hydrating reasons for going to Porchlight, my favorite task that I accomplished there was writing drafts. I loved writing at Porchlight. There, the comfortable couch that is next to the window looks out on the busy urban street. I enjoyed that perch for focusing on my notebook and laying down stories with my fountain pen.
Though the fixtures at Porchlight seem, at first, provisional, they are collapsible for another purpose of the space which is to showcase live, indy music. For instance, Porchlight coffee shop added the business of promoting Grand Hallway band through its record label.
Because the venue is popular now, I expect that my rainy days will end when I may perch on the leatherette couch for an hour at a time and sketch plans for writing. I am glad that Porchlight is still available and apparently doing well to assist me on my urban walks.
