Crows smart, people stupid

This morning I took the usual walk in the park. I go there because it is the only isle of green around here. I observed two interesting phenomenons:
1. There was a crow (don't ask me the species) with a nut of some kind in his grasp. He/she was trying to open the nut. At some point the crow jumped in the air, flew 3 or 4 meters high and dropped the nut. Then went to check it and repeated the manouver again and again. That is an impressive smart move from a bird, I knew they can do such things but never observed before. Unfortunately the crow was doing that over a grass field and needed the paved road instead. But there was people walking on the road.
2. Sometimes a tree dies in the park and the maintainers cut it down. There is an old man who in summer comes and makes statues of animals and people with the logs and the remains of the trees. Today I noticed that some sick people enjoied cutting away pieces of wood from the statues, demaging them badly. People do suck.

Stamattina sono andato a camminare nel parco. Vado li perché è l'unica area verde nei dintorni. Ho osservato due fenomeni interessanti:
1. C'era una cornacchia (non chiedetemi la specie) con una noce nell'artiglio. Cercava di aprire la noce. Ad un certo punto la cornacchia ha spiccato un balzo, volato in alto 3 o 4 metri e ha fatto cadere la noce. Poi è andata a controllare e ha ripetuto la manovra diverse volte. E' una mossa molto intelligente da parte di un uccello, sapevo che possono fare cose del genere ma non le avevo mai osservate di persona. Sfortunatamente si trovava sopra un prato e aveva bisogno della strada asfaltata ma li c'era gente che passeggiava.
2. A volte gli alberi muoiono e i chi si occupa della manutenzione li abbatte. C'è un vecchietto che in estate viene e realizza delle statue di animali e persone con i ceppi e quello che rimane degli alberi. Oggi ho notato che qualche persona malata si è divertita a tagliare via dei pezzi dalle statue, danneggiandole gravemente. La gente fa davvero schifo.
