I am reading a baby was left in the "anonymous" heated bed in a hospital in Milano for the first time since the service was opened in 2007. The baby was given the first name Mario (from the saint of the day, Maria Goretti) and the last name Mangiagalli (from the name of the hospital, that comes from a doctor and mayor of Milano at the beginning of 1900).

The "anonymous" bed for abandoning children is an answer for extreme situations where the child risks to be abandoned in unsafe places because the mother either doesn't know the laws or is hiding from authorities for any reason.
