New glasses

I am not sure I like them but here are my very expensive new glasses. Maybe you wonder why they are expensive.
Besides everything is expensive here, these glasses have got a Rayban titanium
alloy frame and unbreakable anti-reflection lenses.

On a side note: it is like Dr. Jackson from Stargate SG1 when he moved from the '90s round glasses to the 2K squared ones.

nice
I´ve got square glasses myself (for reading) ...but mine have little black and white stripes at the side P:

I have to take the glasses off when I read.

Well, maybe they could be a bit bigger, but they are cool! I would say better then the old ones (:

Lorenzo Celsi 12. February 2009, 19:23

Believe or not, those are the biggest ones I could find.

Looking good.
The size looks just right to me. (:

@ glass sizes: signed, bought some new glasses a week ago (currently waiting for them to get customized) and you really only get three main types of glasses: the square ones (either with metallic/thin borders or with thick plastic one) or those with no borders at all ... ah, well, in a maximum of 20 years those 90s glasses are back

btt: look nice, fit you well imo  (but the comparison with jackson is )

I believe! Here in Riga we are almost out of choise at all (: I was searching for mine for a few months and the cheapest deal I could made was 200 EUR. Insanelly...

wtf? that's really much. If I'd have picked a cheaper frame and no special-thin hardened super-plastic  I'd have gotten some for 40€ (10€ per glass after health-care bonus - and those are allready hardened plastic with antireflective coating, 20€ for a decent-looking frame). Well, now mine will cost 160€, but well, I don't have to pay it anyhow - nice to be a student and live at home

Lorenzo Celsi 13. February 2009, 09:26

My titanium alloy frame costs about 150 euro but then there are the lenses that are really expensive. The base price is 60 euro each, then it increases if you add the anti-reflection and stuff.
Yes there are cheaper deals, I've found complete glasses for 50 euro but you have to get when they give. Maybe it could do as backup glasses.

@serious: here at Latvia we do not have much choise. Small market, small shops and if their owners think that selling glasses starting at 200 EUR is cool we can't do much about it... And this why I buy a lot of stuff from eBay (:

Lorenzo Celsi 13. February 2009, 09:51

Here we pay 3 euro for 1Kg of basic bread, which is nonsense IMHO.

Aux 13. February 2009, 12:25

Buy bread from eBay! (:

Lorenzo Celsi 13. February 2009, 12:43

My brother makes his own bread with a cooking machine.

kirsten 13. February 2009, 12:45

Very nice! They suit you!

Aux 13. February 2009, 16:21

Oh, about the bread! But at least you buy good bread for 3 EUR. Here we don't have good bread at all, only some shit (sorry) for 1 EUR. So be happy! (:

Aadil 14. February 2009, 17:05

It makes South Africa sound cheap! :insane:
