football, australia
Nothing to say, I just noticed that my last two posts were on a Friday, so I thought I'd better make one today.
Though having said that, maybe I should say YAY! for Australia getting through to the last 16 of the World Cup for the first time. And that's despite Graham Poll being possibly the worst referee ever. He must have had a bet going with Simunic or something to allow him to get away with wrestling Mark Viduka to the floor in the penalty area, and to give him THREE yellow cards before sending him off. Italy, here we come! (Oh, and England got through as well)

music, dears
I've just heard that The Dears are bringing out a new album in August. And to that I celebrate muchly, since I loved No Cities Left. I can't wait.
EDIT: Just found a new song on
their Myspace site. It's pretty good!

cricket, baldness, advert
Why is it that the hair replacement/treatment adverts on the back of papers always feature cricketers, and no other sportsmen? I saw one with Shane Warne on (apparently he uses a "Hair and scalp fitness regime...a load of cricket balls if ever I heard it). And Graham Gooch has been in loads.
Is there something about cricket that makes you bald?

shop, click

OK, it may be just me being childish, but a shop called 'Openings' is just asking for some form of innuendo. What makes it better is that it is on a road in Bournemouth which is quite infamous for having a large number of sex shops. Why not just call it "The Door Shop" or something a little less giggle-inducing?

There's loads of crap being marketed as England stuff for the world cup, but this is the worst. That's right, That's a swiss flag! In other news, this is my first mobile blog- i'm in a car outside castlepoint (not driving). I can only hope it works
EDIT: OMG! It did!

I have bizarrely decided that it is OK. I thought that revising would get boring, but apparently not. Is this normal?
Maybe it's consumed me in its evil world

It doesn't really matter what I put here, as no-one will read it. Still it's nice to have a first post
