hard drive
I just had an idea. Which is probably not a good one, but hopefully someone could put me right. Anyway, I notice that on my computer I can set aside an area of the Hard-Disk for extra RAM. Is this equally as effective as normal RAM? And if so, can I install a new Hard disk for use entirely as the extra RAM? That sounds really stupid, now I come to think of it.

hard drive
I received this today:

It's an external hard drive I got off eBay for 99p. Plus VAT. Plus delivery - but in total, it was still very cheap. Anyway, the reasoning behind this was that my laptop's hard drive was down to its last 2GB, so I thought I could scout around for a small one on eBay. And whoa, it's not exactly small enough to carry around in my laptop bag.
Never mind, I told myself, let's see what it can do. Bugger. I don't have the right connection. So, I did what any other sensible person would do. I set at it with a screwdriver, trying to look for the actual hard drive bit. And there it was, in its tiny glory.
So now, I'm wondering quite what to do. I could either install it into my desktop, although it doesn't need it. Or I have been told that I could get a hard drive case with the right bits. Though it may still be large. Alternatively, I could have some fun with it - but only if nothing else works, because I don't like wasting money (although I have more in my account than I thought). Who knows what will happen.
