Aw! I forgot u guys!

, ,

well, i have no good excuse for forgetting about this blog. but now I'm back! stronger, better, more productive;) I'm kicking it off with a new release from Sub Focus! I don't know why i like this, but a good hook is always nice. Thats why this is a banger! Have a listen:)
Go to Beatport.com Get These Tracks Add This Player
"Follow the light" is a typical Sub Focus "trance'n'bass" sounding track, but it's "Rock it" thats made me dance! Raw drum and bass with a Daft Punk vocoder style hook. Sweet! But when we are already on the subject of Drum'n'bass.. This is more my style! Raw! With evil voices:D haha

Tonium Pacemaker

My first encounter with this lovely device was during an Pioneer lecture of their newest digital video mixer. It totaly blew my mind! To some extent it feels useless, in a world packed with new digital dj solutions every day, a small mp3-player with mixing capabilities sounds a bit over the top. But just the thought of owning such a cool gadget makes me drool! I love the design and the simplicity of it! Simple design with minimal effort.

The Pacemaker has a 120Gb hard drive. It has a suite of dj tools like crossfading (both line out and in the headphones), bend, pitch, pause, cue, loop, EQ and various filters.
It supports MP3s, wave, acc, ogg, flac and much more!
And with a mere weight of just 200 grams (!)

In October 2008, Pacemaker received the world’s most prestigious DJ Technology award award: the DJ Mag Tech Awards in the top category “Most Innovative New DJ Product”

It is rumoured to run an Linux-based OS which makes it even cooler for me, but i have yet to find any info on it. Not even the Pending patent of it mentions any linux.
New info: In this video the guy says that its built on linux so you can create your own filters and stuff.(Because of the open source its built on)

New Tune by Hybrid

I am glad to see that the boys are back in the game. After touring extensibly since their 2006 release "I Choose Noise" they are back with some fresh new material. When going to their official website you can hear both "Lights Go Down Knifes Come Out" and "Cascade" which are unrealeased tracks. Also, their myspace page gives you a studio version of "Fifty Dollar Pistol" which I provided a live video of further down.
The boys are touring with quite an ensamble this time, and are more energetic than ever. Can't wait to see them live!!! Does anyone have a couple of thousand Kroner to spare?

"Formula of Fear" is out now on Distinctive Records and has been remixed by a host of producers including Uberzone, Grafiti, Long Range, Steam Punk and Hybrid themselves. The track will be available on CD, vinyl and as a digital download from Beatport, iTunes, Amazon and Distinctive's own website.
