Cartilage
it's a type of connective tissue , has no blood vessels , no nerves. it's matrix consists of glyco-protien & chondroitin.
surrounded by perichondrium ( which is a dense connective tissue )
there are 2
types of cartilage according to permanence :
1- temporary cartilage ( like all the skeleton of the fetus )
2- permanent cartilage ( like the tip of the nose , external ear , also found in the walls of trachea and larynx )
Temporary cartilage undergo Ossification , which is the process by which bone tissue follows the cartilage and slowly replace it, while permanent cartilage don't.
