I have been a long time player and subscriber to Lord of the Rings Online... and on the 10th of September it goes free.
http://www.lotro.com/
I am on a bunch of different servers with different people, Brandywine is my server of choice, but I am also on Firefoot and a couple others if you ever care to join me on an adventure or two.
LOTRO, has made some major changes to the game, the new start missions are better, the way the world is set up is better, more lush and better laid out. Several new missions, and tweeks to many old ones. Not to mention a new zone. They have really improved it. I have not tried out the new LOTRO Store.. but I am sure to give it a try soon. They also give you LOTRO coins/cash on some quest now as a bonus reward for use in the store. The graphics as always are superb, the new start zone layouts and set dressing is just awe inspiring. In the Dwarf lands they set up encampments outside the giant doors, where before it was empty and bare. In the human start area, they have people about doing stuff, and even a women who peers from a window. So these all feel more real, more fleshed out.
If you have never played LOTRO, this is a perfect time to start.. so come, join the adventure. Lets Game.
