Counter Strike: Global Offensive

Hey Fellow Gamers,
I recently attended PAX Prime 2011 and got my chance to play some CS:GO and I was very impressed. I am not a console gamer by any means, just cant seem to get used to the controller. Always been a keyboard & mouse gamer, so when I saw the game controller I was like ahh damn I am gonna get pwned, and I did. But I had a lot of fun, and felt it was well worth the hour standing in line just to get my hands on the pre-beta. For my efforts I got a beta key and a t-shirt... that was just icing on the cake of getting to play the game early.
The graphics are amazing, and the redesign of the maps we have all grown up with are fantastic. Dust and Aztec are phenomenal, some hard core old-schoolers will bitch and cry about the changes, but I think they work and give new players routs and escapes that they will need against veteran players. I also think they enhance game play and the changes are nice so we don't have the same old crap we have had since beta 1.3.
I am most excited about the new mapping tools. I had a chance to talk with one of the game designers at PAX, he and I spoke at great length about mapping and the community I belong too called the SNARKPIT ( http://www.snarkpit.net/ ). I am not allowed to discuss much about the new mapping tools, but I think the power and ease of some of the new ideas in mapping will bring us many new community based maps to game on in the future. After all that is what has really helped keep Counter Strike fresh and new, the community and its home made content.
All in all I am very excited about this version of Counter Strike, the new weapons, like the Molotov-cocktail, and the enhanced game play and tighter hit boxes. That is all for now, expect more info as the Beta releases in OCT, and we get more insight into the game and its many new features... I'll be sure to share what I can with you and keep you up to date. Thanks for stopping by!
