Bye-Bye

High School days are now officially over for my son and I as my last child soon matriculates; as a result, I won't be helping with the Munster Band Backers or any other school-related activity (unless I get a job with the District). Thanks to all the parents who helped chaperone and/or work Pit while my husband was President of Band Backers and while he was Pit Crew Chair/Chief and I was his Assistant Pit Chief and while I was Chaperone Chairwoman. Thanks for helping with the Car Wash when we chaired it. Thanks for helping with the Book Fair. Heck, thanks for helping me when I was involved with anything, actually. smile (Yes, I got to be Chap Chair because no one else wanted to do it when he was President; then, I just sort of kept going and going and going. Mystery solved, my friends? lol)

As Bob Hope would say, "Thanks for the memories." Best wishes to all the young musicians-students who were always so nice to me. Best of luck to the band directors, past and present.

I will remember all your eyes.

Best of luck to my replacement!

This blog will be here for a while. One day, though, it will be empty.......

Book Fair--Success!!!!

Elly Bacoyanis thanks all those splendid ladies who helped at the Book Fair. It was successful and hard work with happiness all around from the students and teachers. Especial thanks to to Sue Markey, the Co-Chairwoman whose competency helped with all the fair from beginning to end and whose support was/is extremely valuable, Ms. C. Wedow who was our kind contact to the WWMS administration thereby saving us many headaches, and Terri O. who liked to tell us what to order and what books the kids liked. These women were there every day!!! Numerous other parents who helped get a gigantic THANK YOU, too, they know who they are!!!!
Super-duper thanks to Sue Markey who will head the Book Fair Committee next year! The week is already set -- Second week in November. Elly also thanks the very kind and helpful people at Scholastic Book Fair smile

Hya, thanks to Chaperones. Kaye Drabenshot, Cheryl Peters, Jonelle Sweetner-Stephens, Peggy Nouri, Mike Popovich, and Carrie Wadas. I was there, too.

Thanks to all of us who helped with everything. Chaps were passing out food, working with the pit, putting feathers on helmets, performing First Aide, in addition to watching out and helping the students and taking photos and cheering for them.

Chaps would like to thank the Food/snack Committee who also had food for all of us! It was so super nice for the student-musicians and us.

Way to go!!!

The Band won Gold and other distinctions! YIPPEEE!

Thanks, Directors, for all your hard work! Thanks, students, for such a great show and your hard work!
