My OperaSnow and turmoil!

I can't believe we don't get Fall this year! It seems to have gone from Summer to Winter overnight! My greenhouse is nearly finished, but not ready to save all the plants from being killed by Jack Frost just yet. My calamondin orange is turning yellow and my crepe jasmine has lost it's leaves. The greenhouse still needs shingles and trim and drywall and outlets and heat... Alright, maybe it should now be described as a bit more than a greenhouse. It's become more of a detached sunroom since I started it a few weeks ago in my 'spare' time. I finally did get an electric space heater run to the room with an extension cord. Gawd, the lighting bill is gonna soar this month! I do hope the calamondin pulls out of it. I pulled over 40 oranges from it yesterday in the hopes that it will expend more energy on survival and less on ripening it's fruits for now. I'll be installing a gas heater in the next two weeks.
I actually love the snow, but working in it has been a pain for the last two days. I'm building a cedar pergola/screenroom in Morton on a stone foundation with stone kneewalls and columns. It's going to be gorgeous! The cedar ceiling just went on today. It's going to get a rooftop over the top of the pergola. It's actually a bit hard to describe, but I will try to post a picture or two when it is closer to being done. If this MMS blogging thing works the way I expect it to, I will post a picture while I am on the site. I'm sure this is possible, as I've programmed this ability into a couple of the sites I've built recently.
Anyhoot, I'm off for now. I hope I can keep up with posting to this blog. I seem to be horrid at actually getting in and posting to blogs on a regular basis. There just seems to be no time available for a journal when there is so much left to be done on so many things!
