I know life's road
can be rocky or smooth
We never know when things
will change
When suddenly they do
we're caught off guard
and feel overwhelmed.
Remember ... I'm here
Whatever it is that you need
a shoulder to cry on
or just someone to listen
I am here for you
You've helped me in so many ways
too many to count
I'd like to give you
what you've given me
An ear ... a smile ... a hug ...
This tough time will end
Just know in your heart
that you don't need to go it "alone"
I will always be here for you

Life has a way of finding time to look back on the past,
And reminisce about the days we thought would always last.
When you would hug and comfort me, and smile your special smile,
And always, when I needed help, you’d walk that extra mile.
Dear Mum, you loved and cared for me through all my childhood days,
Encouraged me when I was down, then lifted me with praise.
You always did believe in me, and always seemed so sure,
“As long as you just do your best, you can’t do any more”.
How quickly have the years flown past, now I am older too,
And when I look back through the years I’m thinking about you.
How kind and patient always through the days, the months, the years,
And how, with such a loving heart, you calmed my doubts and fears.
We also shared such happy times, much laughter I recall,
Whatever time we had to share, you gave to it your all.
I’m thankful that your love for me gave me that “special” start,
So when I say, “I love you Mum”, you know it’s from my heart.

Never compromise your values and beliefs,
even it if means risking ridicule and rejection.
Be true to yourself. Live your own life.
And don't allow others to decide what is best for you.
If you do, you will be unhappy,
because, you're untrue to yourself.

Every once in a while in our lives we meet someone that touches our life. They touch our lives maybe never knowing that they have done so. They may have spoken kind words that were needed just at the right time, maybe they were there to give us encouragement, or something as simple as a smile. We meet many people throughout life's journey, some we remain friends with always, and others just continue on. No matter what happens a simple "thank you" does not seem like enough.
Where do we meet these special people that touch our lives? We can meet them in one of our many paths that we travel along during our lifetime. Perhaps it is a teacher that we had in school, a stranger that we met just by chance, or a "Doctor" that was there when you needed them. Whoever they might be, we know in our hearts that they have touched our lives in a unique, special way and that remains with us always. We are forever grateful to them and a simple "thank you" just does not seem like enough...
When we meet one of these special people it is a true blessing, they are like angels placed on the earth. Whatever they have said or done to touch our lives in the way that they have, our lives are changed for the better because of them. People often help others, but there are times when one special person not only helps but they reach your heart in some way, and you realize that this person was a true gift in life. A simple "thank you" does not seem like enough...
How do you let these special people know how much you appreciate what they have done? How do you let them know just how much they have touched your life? Do you just smile and say thank you? I am not sure what you do, but a simple "thank you" just does not seem like enough...

While at the park one day, a woman sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground. "That's my son over there," she said, pointing to a little boy in a red sweater who was gliding down the slide.
"He's a fine looking boy" the man said. "That's my daughter on the bike in the white dress." Then, looking at his watch, he called to his daughter.
"What do you say we go, Melissa?"
Melissa pleaded, "Just five more minutes, Dad. Please? Just five more minutes."
The man nodded and Melissa continued to ride her bike to her heart's content.
Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his daughter. "Time to go now?"
Again Melissa pleaded, "Five more minutes, Dad. Just five more minutes."
The man smiled and said, "O.K."
"My, you certainly are a patient father," the woman responded.
The man smiled and then said, "Her older brother Tommy was killed by a drunk driver last year while he was riding his bike near here. I never spent much time with Tommy and now I'd give anything for just five more minutes with him. I've vowed not to make the same mistake with Melissa. She thinks she has five more minutes to ride her bike. The truth is, I get Five more minutes to watch her play."
Life is all about making priorities, what are your priorities?
Give someone you love 5 more minutes of your time today
