CUPIDS DART
Friday, 15. February 2008, 02:34:40
The temporary madness
of those tender moments
that leaves the world behind
the gentle touch that overwhelms
and sears the heart of memory
that will ever forgot of the
love that passed this way once
and changed my life for all of time
for I can never walk so plainly
so unloved no more for I
have known the cupid dart
that pierced my soul for
all rendered tearful joy for
for all of time that begets
a love so true

Look what happed to David in the bible when he loved someone elses wife? decpetion, adultery and murder
Or when men in the bible took on more than one wife, and hence their gods from their country - nore destruction befalls
Abraham when he took a concubine trouble befell the household....
and so on...
but when one looses a partner through deat or divorce - and is well of mind and heart they are well apt to love another in fact scripture encourages a young heart of need and desire to indeed marry again...
Love is important to mankind...committment and connecting is part of our intelligent design - we are creatures designed to love and to be in love....
I however do not beleive in 2nd best or 2nd choices but do beleive in 2nd chances in regards to love....I also beleive you can love deeply even more than ones first love....
Youv'e heard the expression "if you can't have the one you love - love the one your with? " only holds true if you truly love that person...
Love is not so much an emotion to me as much as a choice of committment - though my husband and I are often asked if we are newly married etc as we still hold hands after all these years....
to deny oneself love is to deny God and to deny life
so why do you ask?

Thanks for your always valuable response.
Despite of my open mind all these years, I did not come across to the next deep heartbeat as of yet!(yet...)
I asked my sisters ,they are always honest with me, and the answer it is always "no","it's not something that comes along very often". In my hopes and dreams I always hoped that they were wrong... Yes, there are a rainbow of loves in our life(kids, friends, relatives and we love them in a different way)... The brightest and the warmest color of all shouldn't appear only once in the love rainbow...Life wouldn't be as pretty(still pretty) with out it!!
