LOVE IN A BOX

Love comes but once a year
and all have gathered around the table
the halls were all decked
with all things green and holly

but now its over I fear
and all the gifts unwrapped from label
what remains is regret
and another year of folly

will you only see your family
when christmas comes again
will you only show joy
with red and green splendour

or will you change initially
and find the family taxing bane
