THE FOLDERS....

divisive, retrieved , related
binding of all things loose
you have your place in my mind

that waits patiently for the
hour of release for the very
day when I myself must find....

safely filed, concealed and archived
until you can be safely examined
CONFIDENTIAL....your tucked away

lucidity and reason gives way to fear
waiting for a moment of my time
to sort the folders filed before today...

the bizarre, the secret, the fantasy
the hurt, the pain and dirty
all collecting dust

precious memories and moments
of files often flicked through
that arn't ready to rust...

The seat of the faculty of
intelligence and reason that
"for who's eyes only" dictates

distinguish, discern and mark
and make notations of concern
and send "those" files packing

to the darkest corners of the room
like raiders of the lost ark
and hope that no one comes hacking

persuasion, sentiment and notion
that decides how deep the folders
now labelled must rest

but for now I will choose the folder
that gives me glimpse of light
ahhh pure light you are the best...
