life, salt, gold, riches
...
IS THERE GOLD UNDER THE OCEAN
Is there gold under the ocean
surely there is for the reflection
I see on ocean surface of
shimmering glistening flecks
Is there gold under the ocean
of soft yellow element resist
the salted corosion that yields
a single precious pearl
and beneath the blue of goodness
lies a heart of gold
the beauty in the coral reefs
that sway with evenings tide
Is there gold under the ocean
and such the beauty of gold
that decorates the oceans floor
and wonderous that life which
swims in and out amongst the reef
that stretches for miles
and is now the worlds heritage
that crowns Australian shores

space, sin, insight, Religious
...
EMPTY SPACES
absorbs not the unforeseen
so critical the judgment anesthetized to all around
such empty spaces that lack the sensitivity
that sees not the pain and senseless shock
an empty chest this spacial room
destitute of sincerity and sense
so hollow and vane producing nothing of worth
unfrutiful this tree and empty the vine
empty the space that discharged into the ocean
all that was once good for it's own self
gratification leaving fallen all in it's wake
the womb empty of life as the mind empty spills its strife
vacuous the empty void stares blankly
barren of all goodly insight
and bare the closet of the mind
that has nothing hung on its hangers
so beware of empty spaces for what might
seek to creep and rest therein and
fill your heart and soul with goodness
from the heavens that God has sent
lest you become that empty vessel controlled
by the seed of nature of the like of which
you have not known, that sin and evil reigns
taking hold and there resides to be watered and grown

sin, hate, Religious, justice
...
DECEIT III
deceit you fool
vile and bitter twisted creature of fate
your strategm of falsehood
that upsets the balance of goodness received
you suck dry the very breath
of those you seek to draw into your web
your guile and duplicity
well practiced to decieve
sincerity is blank ad empty upon your heart
that which craves the seeking after self
has no remorse for those you hurt
and lying is upon your lips
and universal your deciet that seeks a victim
that causes harm to another
and your only remorse is in getting caught
for depravity from your heart is all that drips
so beg not forgiveness for I am not your God
and seek no solace from me for I am not your judge
blinded that you see not you only fooled yourself
so continue to deceive if you will until justice finds you out
for the remorseful and humble man
that seeks to overturn the wrong of such a stand
will do more than make idle words of apology
and commit themself to justice' sake
so in the heart of sickeness and skullduggery
that you willingly partook
will dig out the sin, and cut it free
and hoe the soil of consciousness digging deeply with the cold steel rake
so tear down the facade that revealed your pretense
and dare not come this way again
for you are not welcome here
and fool for anyone that dare let you in

life, promise, New Year, poetry
...
RESOLUTION
so resolute ones determination
made in earnest promise
of unshakable resolve
that rings in the New Year
of merely clanging cymbals
of what has been said before
sounding so hollow now
that seems so laughable to the ear
for I know that I will continue to
eat pavolova for breakfast
for it is steadfastly considered
dairy and part of the 5 basic groups of food
however as I voice my earnest
of self prophecy and command
you should all be cheering me
and not in mocking tones considered to be rude...
I will, I will, I promise
I will diet and exercise
and stick to my fitness regime
and not slack off or falter
and ride my bike for an hour
till no longer splitting pants at the seam
and yes I will eat more healthily
and give up smoking too
no longer date a million guys
or turn up so late for work
no longer I in idle gossip
for my bad neighbors now have moved town
no longer will I be complaining
or ignoring the chores I often shirk
and I will spend more time with family
and keep in touch with Aunty Jan
and invite poor Uncle Jo for dinner
and promise to be a better Aunty
I will stop and smell the roses more
and take up a hobby or two
will endeavor to pay the taxes on time
and certainly give more to charity
Oh New Year, oh New Year, ring on please
you know that you are killing me
and bringing me to my knees....
bring on the auldangsyne
that weve sung a thousand times...
and just let me see the fireworks
and do the countdown as everyone in unison chimes

loyalty, nature, Religious, Christmas
...
LAST FULL MEASURE OF DEVOTIONof prayer and supplication
so ardent the zeal I dedicate to thee
I sink to mine knees and rest
in your presence of purposed loyalty
observe the creator of miracles and birth
devote now do I to the life crucified
and put aside all idolatory
and in your salvation I take refuge and abide
So precious the air I breathe
and surrender to thine hand
even when the rest shall fall away
I will honor all that thou command
if religion is for the vulnerable
and for the brainwashed
then let me be trampled
and mine old life, hence squashed
guarding fiercely of faith and hope
let not mine worship be weak in thine eyes
thine Holy Spirit give wisdom and comfort
let me stay focused with an eye on the prize
let me obedient more than to sacrifice
and stay faithful to the last full measure of devotion
heeding thy word, ridding the weakness of flesh
outlasting the tides of the wind and the ocean
and thou art not burdensome dear Lord
for my mine spirit thou dost' lift
giving credence and worthiness to a restless soul
thine Son the Saviour thy Christmas Gift....

pain, life, heartache, joy
...
HEARTACHE - I KNOW THY NAME
I
brokeness of sorrows loss
heartache the tedium of journey
that overwhelms one so heartstricken
the hardwork between the darkness and light
thine anguish of mental pang that cuts
and I in endless search for pefected love find such perfection
II
oh heavy heart, of great remorse
the despondency of one so afflicted
why did thou givest me blood that courses so
torment of earthly misery that leaves
in wretchedness of suffering and looks idly
upon me writhing in the throe
III
disconsolateness I have come to know thy name
and melancholy the only comfort of mine pain
IV
lament lifes woe and tribulation
the sorrow, mourning and mortification
and twinge thou may the vexation of thy worriement
as I in mine confidence seek the ease of
solace and sweet, sweet, merriement
V
thou art more trouble than thy worth
and thine company I must depart
for on the other side of thine grassy hill
lays the hopeful euphoria that gives quiet relief
and into the dark abyss thine body thrown out this lifeless cart
VI
rest now I in perfect seclusion,
to gather all mine strength
as glooms color lifts the anvils' chorus
as if the joyous you try to drown
for happiness comes softly knocking
as now I wish to be found

Saviour, life, heaven, grace
...
DEATH IT COMES
appointed unto man but to die the once
that calls upon the breathing the brevity of life
and swift the justice laid fair upon the soul
for the choices made that now no longer told
for we are but fleeting in the time wer'e given
and if we have been purposeful eternity found in heaven
as life it really begins there, to know the Saviour's face
of what we had encompasses beneath the blood shed grace
and sings the joy eternally, thankful for the gift
softly at first then sweetly the voices lift
death it comes, death it must come as grim as it might appear
and all the chains that death surrounds forever dissappear
for now I no longer cry or shed the human tear
nor feel the pain and sorrow that many often fear
so though the deathly shadow lingers over your heart
know that I was called back home from whence all life does start
and pluck from the bush grape the lush and fleshly juice
for merely the pleasure of it, the garden extends in rows
left behind is the impression of India's damask rose
though I will never kiss thee tenderly under honeysuckle mistletoe
as mine fine fragrance harvested and collected for heaven's call
and when you see the heart leaf sida growing wild by the roadside tall,
so luxurient in December, know that laughter is the best medicine
and now I will be ornamental like the candle on the tree
as I walk, laugh and run through fields of angelwing jasmine
in the presence of my God that be

life, friendship, love, heartache
...
LOVE THAT SMILES
love that smiles
and lights the face anew
the warm embrace of friendship
from sweetness of invitation grew
the yearning of all desire
sincerity of heart and pure the joy that be
your love that calls each one near
the indian jewel that time reflects the beauty that we see
For God alone placed the precious gem among our midst
so give praise to the creator that let passion burn so bright
and shared with us but a moment
strength today and bright hope we call tomorrow (kal)
Shukhriya, shukhriya for the blessing (so thank you for the blessing)
for life is niether kala nor safed (black nor white)
and you are the sweetness of grape..अंगूर (angur)
you are air to me ( Hava हवा )
meetha, meetha Bay-hen (sweet, sweet sister)
and now you will feel a warmer Bay-hen (sun)
and dance under a brighter moon (chandspogmai)
where the sky's are deeper (asman asman)
and stars shine more brilliantly (ek tara)
and rain is purer (baris baran)
that falls into the river where many a tear is falling (daryasind)
and all that is left is the smile you put on our face.....

cooking, folly, life
CAJUN SPICE
sassy and representative of all that is Alabama
boldly flavored the seasonings blend
and rich the ebony beauty
blend of Louisanna that kisses the french goodbye
ground sassafras leaves stolen from Native
Americans in life's recipe must hide
and many even say Prudhomme was responsible for the blackening
New Orleans secret is safe with me
for my husband knows that I alone invented "cajun's" awakening
for whilst I sit here typing another creative piece
in the kitchen is burning, the sour dough under the
griller burning away so fierce

life, Religious, reflections, character
Is all words, that fall upon the deafened ears
the philosophy of mankind that holds a wealth of tears
articulation for the reverence of life
the paradox created for the ages of strife
what be the moral value if lesson not be learned
what value be the ethic if not heeded and heard
if ethical means to think sincerely
then surely love is to know the Lord so dearly
mystery that stirs the heart entangled in a deadened world
Albert, Albert my dear Albert
what more value can man have save he knows his own creator
then purpose and value reveal
"ghastly drama of will to live divided against itself"
that leaves the capacity of man just sitting upon the shelf
enigma of evolution seemingly so destructive
devoid of knowledge that is unlimitedly creative
what can be greater than to know the fullness of life's love
what greater than to know forgiveness from heaven above
Does not all man strive more purposefully when God reveals?
to step away from the darkenes that the heart of man seeks to steal....
