GLISTENING THREADS

GLISTENING THREADS

proteinaceous spider silk
glistens as tenderly hung
between the trees

spiral orb webs where the
architects spin their spiral
wheel-shaped webs

finds their delicate
dewey thread enticing
the spiders prey

and features the crisscross
band of silk through
the center of the piece

silken decorations amidst
the gardens green and
exhibit beautiful symmetry

and all is illusion
elusive and temporary
but for those entrapped

deadly demise awaits
the ones who succomb
to the hypnotic threads

THE AUTUMN OF MY YEARS

, , , ...

THE AUTUMN OF MY YEARS

The tree bears fruit in Autumn
third the season between
summer and winter it falls

northern temperate zone at
the autumnal equinox,
of perfect moment

the harvest that favors life
where there are whispers in the wind
that called softly my name

and so co-ordinated the celestiele
of time at which the vernal point
brings the celestial equator

and though it must end
at winters solstice
I shall live while I may

in reality day is longer than night
and there by pure light I see
the golden falling leaves

and so the transition of change
that I may live so centered
and enjoy my blossoming fruit

for I cannot spend another moment
without another orange sherbet sunrise
nor an Autumn without trees

THE NUTURING

, , , ...

THE NUTURING

A little word that is dropped
carelessly here and there
graciousness so misapplied

contemptable in it's speech
private for a while the dealings
of the nuturing

so malicious the petty spirit
that has not learned of sweetness
upon the lips that breath

and breath life into the world
the nuturing so could choose
instead went its own way

and feeding off the dead
putrid the word as goodness
now is spirited away

and hidden without use
for what befalls the man
for the nuturing that he now craves

lest he been seen as weakened
and sows that hateful spite
that now clings to his heart

like static fabric that smothers
lacking in magnanimity showing
neither ignoble lack of honor

or even accepted morality so
measured by all of humanity
and the keel around his neck

falls heavy that gives him
a crooked walk and belies
on his face a very crooked smile.

IN MY SKIN

, , , ...

IN MY SKIN

In my skin truth and assurance
lies and rests within my frame
fresh beauty is peeled back to reveal

more than the curves your eyes
transfixed follow in my form
appreciating the soft texture and glow

self possesion of this wayward limbs
and all the organs that sustain
the resting place I call home

assurance oozes from my pores
that castes more beauty than there is
found in the vital quality of confidence

sensory pleasure that manifests
my design and rythm that provides
perceptual satisfication that takes

one's breath away for they have
entered the garden of Eve, self relfection
asserts harmony's call and vision

poetic beauty laid in man's mind
where the creative consciousness of man
intervenes with nature

compelled to gaze, compelled to touch
compelled to meld and join in union
this sensual delight who posseses his heart.

BLINDED by thine words

, , , ...

BLINDED by thine words

as though a hot copper basin is put near thine eyes
blinded by thine words abcinate
and hauty the impression on others you create

and pompous the windy bore that pretends to have inspiration
and thine name is aeolist
as on each subject matter thou will put thine own twist

and thou art the person who never laughs
and thine name is agelast
spouting words ones time machine constantly visits the past

and in worshipping thine ownself for thine own end
thine name is autolatry
and from the accolade of men thy will is not set free

and you speak smugly of thine own accomplishments
thine name is autohagiographer
for your own company is what you have come to prefer

and artly veiled the insult
thine name is charientism
for your heart entangled in it's own self willed prism...

THE BLACK HOLE

, , , ...

THE BLACK HOLE

the ultimate of all abyss
I found myself floundering in darkness
in this cosmic body that pulls me into
the intenseness of nothing that not
even light can escape

celestial black hole attracting everything near
as now the depletion of all its sources
and no longer with any energy
and event the horizon that calls
you into its being

trapped the light that on the horizon defines
as time and space the same stand still
the tidal forces are prepared
to tear all matter apart
this beast of nature's universe

so where lies the point of no return
where all life force is doomed to dissappear
and never return to a former state
all is lost in space and time
all is lost

DECEIT III

, , , ...

DECEIT III

deceit you fool
vile and bitter twisted creature of fate
your strategm of falsehood
that upsets the balance of goodness received

you suck dry the very breath
of those you seek to draw into your web
your guile and duplicity
well practiced to decieve

sincerity is blank ad empty upon your heart
that which craves the seeking after self
has no remorse for those you hurt
and lying is upon your lips

and universal your deciet that seeks a victim
that causes harm to another
and your only remorse is in getting caught
for depravity from your heart is all that drips

so beg not forgiveness for I am not your God
and seek no solace from me for I am not your judge
blinded that you see not you only fooled yourself
so continue to deceive if you will until justice finds you out

for the remorseful and humble man
that seeks to overturn the wrong of such a stand
will do more than make idle words of apology
and commit themself to justice' sake

so in the heart of sickeness and skullduggery
that you willingly partook
will dig out the sin, and cut it free
and hoe the soil of consciousness digging deeply with the cold steel rake

so tear down the facade that revealed your pretense
and dare not come this way again
for you are not welcome here
and fool for anyone that dare let you in

RESOLUTION

, , , ...

RESOLUTION

so resolute ones determination
made in earnest promise
of unshakable resolve
that rings in the New Year

of merely clanging cymbals
of what has been said before
sounding so hollow now
that seems so laughable to the ear

for I know that I will continue to
eat pavolova for breakfast
for it is steadfastly considered
dairy and part of the 5 basic groups of food

however as I voice my earnest
of self prophecy and command
you should all be cheering me
and not in mocking tones considered to be rude...

I will, I will, I promise
I will diet and exercise
and stick to my fitness regime

and not slack off or falter
and ride my bike for an hour
till no longer splitting pants at the seam

and yes I will eat more healthily
and give up smoking too
no longer date a million guys
or turn up so late for work

no longer I in idle gossip
for my bad neighbors now have moved town
no longer will I be complaining
or ignoring the chores I often shirk

and I will spend more time with family
and keep in touch with Aunty Jan
and invite poor Uncle Jo for dinner
and promise to be a better Aunty

I will stop and smell the roses more
and take up a hobby or two
will endeavor to pay the taxes on time
and certainly give more to charity

Oh New Year, oh New Year, ring on please
you know that you are killing me
and bringing me to my knees....

bring on the auldangsyne
that weve sung a thousand times...
and just let me see the fireworks
and do the countdown as everyone in unison chimes

CRYSTALS QUALITY DECLARATION

, , , ...

CRYSTALS DECLARATION

brilliant the reflective hue
refraction of glorious light emits
the beauty and the wonder
that which is honed by man's hand

wanted and desired
sort after and so coveted
molecules packed in spatial dimensions

my aestehetic properties extend beyond your adornment
for thou in thy weakness worship mine form
can I with no mouth tell thou thy future?
you call me to heal and ward off the demons

and mine only virtue is to adorn and please the sight
for I just stare and sparkle and cry and laugh not
of those who do not know their left from their right

crystals do no work any better than the organs of animals
for divining ones future, although grinding crystals for
the telling is more humane and sanitary than disembowelment
of those poor creatures who know not yesterday from tomorrow

and the neo-pagan will sell thee lies
for the price of a pretty penney
and cares not for your spirit that cries

THE DESTINED MIND OF PHILOSOPHY

, , , ...

THE DESTINED MIND OF PHILOSOPHY

from abstract to concrete
ideas seep into the well of the mind
necessity of intergration, the consistency of contradiction
the truth I look and seek, but where would I find?

self-doubt, like a ball and chain in the place
where your mind's wings should have grown
undigested a myriad of irational thought prevails
and all that thou once knew have out the window flown

The unexamined life is not worth living
or so Socrates, he says
but foolish is the man who says there is no God
and limited are his days

and entirely divisable the mind
that looks outside of God and His word
for who can exceed the power of the lawgiver
for emptiness will always be theirs, the empty minds that have not heard

simplistic the basic distinction of all primeval thought
independant disciplines the philosophy of the id
is merely playing games with the conscious
and keeping the truth well hid

philosophers no more than scientists hypothesis
asking the most burning of all question
so is there a God and how ought I to live?
and all the evidence of logic answered in fine precision

so is analysis of reason and argument
the particular province of philosophy
and in maddening search beyond the creator
or simply put, in searching has my mind fallen out the tree
