DEATH IT COMES
Wednesday, 19. December 2007, 12:58:57
appointed unto man but to die the once
that calls upon the breathing the brevity of life
and swift the justice laid fair upon the soul
for the choices made that now no longer told
for we are but fleeting in the time wer'e given
and if we have been purposeful eternity found in heaven
as life it really begins there, to know the Saviour's face
of what we had encompasses beneath the blood shed grace
and sings the joy eternally, thankful for the gift
softly at first then sweetly the voices lift
death it comes, death it must come as grim as it might appear
and all the chains that death surrounds forever dissappear
for now I no longer cry or shed the human tear
nor feel the pain and sorrow that many often fear
so though the deathly shadow lingers over your heart
know that I was called back home from whence all life does start
and pluck from the bush grape the lush and fleshly juice
for merely the pleasure of it, the garden extends in rows
left behind is the impression of India's damask rose
though I will never kiss thee tenderly under honeysuckle mistletoe
as mine fine fragrance harvested and collected for heaven's call
and when you see the heart leaf sida growing wild by the roadside tall,
so luxurient in December, know that laughter is the best medicine
and now I will be ornamental like the candle on the tree
as I walk, laugh and run through fields of angelwing jasmine
in the presence of my God that be
