CUPID'S DART
The temporary madness
of those tender moments
that leaves the world behind
the gentle touch that overwhelms
and sears the heart of memory
that will ever forgot of the
love that passed this way once
and changed my life for all of time
for I can never walk so plainly
so unloved no more for I
have known the cupid dart
that pierced my soul for
all rendered tearful joy for
for all of time that begets
a love so true

great the divinity of universal power
essence of divine nature
pure of thought and will
promise of eternal life
with the power to grant
who created the heavens
mighty mighty the thunderings of God
whose very voice is power
over all the land and waters
who but God can show such great mercy
who but God can give His son
our only way of redemption
can any man thwart your plans?
can any man mock you Lord and live?
can any man escape your justice?
For you rise above the tempest of waves
and with a whisper still the sea
and put peace and calm in my soul

Soul, heartache, life
This work is still in progress....just had to get my thoughts down before I forgot them...
Fettered by life's chains
one translates the paradox
that struggles and throttles
creating multiple deadlocks
repository of images
aspirations of the past
haunt the tortued soul
and of the barren no longer last
that teters between the brink of
the light and shadow at dawn
as your voice rises and deafening
screams of isolation mourn
and call beyond the wooden door

For eyes that have dimmed the ordained
The distance from integrity
That now the godless have refrained
