Dance of Autumn Leaves

Dance of Autumn Leaves

Carefully crafted the third season
of deciduous trees and leaves
gently swaying and basking in
sunlight amidst a back drop blue sky

the autumnal equinox staves off the winter solstice
taking joy in all the colorful hues
of browns and golds, deep reds and ambers
as it waves goodbye to Summers bliss

and now awaits the first leaf - must fall
and to the world - Autumn, Autumn, Autumn it must call

feel the breeze whip around the bark
Autumn winds crisp and stark

and so the leaves dance and play
to the winds song that has travelled afar
beyond the north as we know it
to revel in this beautious season

though at first glance one sees the season
as one dying as it lays and dry upon the ground
and we see not, we feel not the life that might be emerging
only seeing the browns and golds, deep reds and ambers

and now awaits the first leaf - must fall
and to the world - Autumn, Autumn, Autumn it must call

feel the breeze whip around the bark
Autumn winds crisp and stark

strange it seems, this change of season
that bursts into colors beyond our senses
silhouettes and shades that cast it's shadows
sprinkled beween stark limbs soon to be naked

unremembered sleep of Autumn wrestling with
the nearing of winters cry - yet but a snap
of time that passes this way all to quickly
artfully and splendidly crafted color

and now awaits the first leaf - must fall
and to the world - Autumn, Autumn, Autumn it must call

feel the breeze whip around the bark
Autumn winds crisp and stark

and so this dance of Autumn soon must end all but too quickly
as autumn's quilt lies silent on the ground beneath
the great trees, the teller of time
and bid the north winds song of frolic goodbye.....

Bless till your hearts content

Bless Till Your Hearts Content

so bless and bless and bless
as children are paid
less and less and less

for such is faith and hypocrisy
for some it goes hand in hand
for the price that cocoa demand

so bless and bless and bless
as your compassion diminishes
less and less and less

for such is the outrage of cry
that plays semantics with heartless
words as companies continue to lie

so bless and bless and bless
as sweetness on your lips grows
less and less less

WOULD YOU NOTICE?

, , , ...

WOULD YOU NOTICE?

Would you notice the heavens crying
when evening stars are falling?

Would you notice the crocodile tears
as the lake meets the ocean?

Would you notice my heart beating faster
when you are in the room?

Would you notice I was missing when
my heart was packed and gone?

Would you notice heaven calling
night after night?

Would you notice the waves upon the ocean
and the distance of the seas?

Would you notice my heart bleeding
as hopes drown as I cry on my knees?

Or would you take for granted another nights
sky filled with many stars

and not even notice that one was missing?

STONE THE HEART THAT CRIES

, , , ...

STONE THE HEART THAT CRIES

cold to the touch
lacking lustre frigid
and uncomfortable to
be near, no warmth

of heart endearing
this stone heart
of lacking and forboding
the premise of motherhood

from whence my need
of mothers milk the
tender touch of care that
could have laced those bones

of vacant heart that knew not
the caress of tenderness
don't you know that stone
hearts break and cry

and weather with the years
and in thier own wanting
ache and in silence beg
for mercy and grace

but heart of stone remains
stocily shielded to prevent
the hurt it fears may come
from lessons past

that clings to stone so dear.....
