cotton tails and puppy dogs wail
at the beginning of the hunt

the hounds released and they too
must have their fun

your scent picked up and I
with my hand on the gun

scurry across the fields
say goodbye to evenings sun
so run rabbit run

your fur at market
will bring a pricely sum
