sin, dark, hate, Maree Long
...
HATE
Hate will make you bitter
from the inside, out
Hate will make you whither
for all the lies you spout
Hate that once your friend
will bring you to your knees bitter end
Hate will become your enemy
for all of your complacancy
so quickly remove the garment
let your heart breath the light
remove the darken sackcloth
and let the evil flee from sight
HATE, HATE, HATE,
I hate, wicked tongue of evil state
HATE, HATE, HATE
I hate, you with a vegence
that my wickered heart remorses not
and my hate I cannot relent for I despise
all you stand for - for I am nothing like you.
My wickered tongue will not relent
till my appetite is satieted in your demise
and though I spout as truth, fools will believe my lies
fool the wicked woman of hate
did not see the end of coming
and her one true friend of truth
did not raise a finger to yield
loves saving grace
and so the friend standing at Heavens door
began to sob the silent sobs
they soon began a streaming roar
as this frightened soul realises
that hate was not a friend

FOOTNOTE: This piece was written after witnessing
a severe spate of trolling and harrassing - I have never
witnessed such unrepentant hate so rampant as others
joined the bandwagon. And not one of her friends
tried to reign her in whilst yet others gladly joined in.
A true friend will not let their friend hate so
turning a blind eye but with compassion and conviction
let the friend know they have gone astray...

hate, Maree Long, eternity, poetry
...
THE WORLD I SEE.....
And I put aside childish things
and foolish thoughts and have
learnt that the hand that rocks
the cradle rules the world
so sing the lullaby of sweetness
while you can, and whisper sweet
imaginings in their ear and show
them a mothers tender touch
and give them the strength of
a father's love and let them rise
and build the world the one
we long and dream for
For hate is bred in childhood games
and vileness whispered from a mother's
lips and anger given from a father's
lack
And all children learn to hate and war
you seem them post in haste their hate
and mocking tones of vile they create
and spawn the world we long to be
shielded from and only now wait for enternities
mercy and grace that will let us live the way
we were first destined, and the way our
hearts long for..

eternity, Religious, food, physiology
...
We eat to die or eat we to live?
depends on the diet
for who can survive
without tasting love
who can but liveth only
to sustain the mortal flesh
when all of life is for the living
This stomach craves more than
what can merely fill the belly
desiring tasty morsels
that pass the lips and linger
for I need to feast after
famines hold
and I desire the morish
that fills my yearning
and satifies the craving
and shall I too have wine
and find refreshment in
lifes giving hour
who will be my company
to pass this time away
and pass the plate of forgiveness
who will serve me and wait upon
salting and flavoring lifes
delightful dish
savor I this perfect moment
the banquet set before mine eyes
the warmth of sun that blessed
down upon the fruits of my loin
that ripen giving a delectable
array of color that so entices
and enriches the spirit fullfilling
the simple need in all of us
to connect our righteous path
so long ago chosen and nought
will be denied my hunger before
the Lord that has set before us
a delectable banquet that lasts
beyond this age, that will nought
have me hunger or thirst no more

mind, eternity, love, India
...
do I need both words to make the sentence structure correct?
and which dialect?
SAFFRON LOVE
Aapne kya kiya? (What did you do?)
to the love we shared
Hum kya karoon ? (What should I do?)
to heal the rifting heart
Hum kya kar sakta hoon ? (What can I do?)
that would bring you back to me
Sawalat kya hai? (What are the questions?)
that rest on your mind
Sawalat kya thein? (What were the questions?)
that got left behind
Aakhiri sawal kya hai ?What is the last question?
that seals eternity
Khat mein kya likha hai ?What is written in the letter?
inscribed in hearts of blood
Tumhein/Aapko kya kaha gaya tha ?What you had been told?
that keeps us from dance beneath nights sky
Jawab kya hoga ? What will be the answer?
to my searching longing
Tum / Aap kyon aaye ?Why did you come?
if not to let me hold you
Tum / Aap kyon soye ?Why did you sleep?
and let sun set upon and miss the day
Tumne/Aapne unko jaane ko kyon kaha ?Why did you tell him to go?
when daggers dart burns
mujhe tumse pyar hai (I love you)
mujhe tumse pyar hai (I love you)
mujhe tumse pyar hai (I love you)
mein bukha hun for your love.......
