morning, light, Autumn, life
...
I wake.......
I wake
and breath comes with mornings light
the doves coo in the trees
I wake
and breath comes with mornings light
as cool is felt in Autumns breeze
I wake
and breath comes with mornings Light
and life has come to me
I wake
and breath comes with mornings light
of grandeur and possibility
I wake
and breath comes with mornings light
as lifes pulse quickens my heart
I wake
and breath comes with mornings light
for the joy felt at days start

TORTURE OF THE SANDMAN
Torture of the Sandman
that withholds the grains of sleep
and prods the mind to work overtime
relentlessly pursued I weep
processing the day and all its troubles
grey matter like a revolving door
filters and sifts the mind
tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic
sleep deprivation interorgates my soul
extending the morning hours
as I sink further and further into a hole
so who will amuse me
in the early morning tide
and give me sanctury from the sandman
who drains me as my husbands snores beside

MORNING COMES
morning comes
it comes for me
and gently I am nudged
for morning hour wishes
me for company
and my spirit yields
to the morning hour
that lets all others sleep
and drains my form
as I lament and weep
over and over the words
it plays and dances in my mind
and keeps my body in restless state
and this the hour I often dread
the lonliness of ones mind I hate
But I this time turn thoughts to God
and try to sort through the maze
of all the troubled thoughts
that morning brought my way
and desire the bed where sleep I ought
no tiny white aids I to sleep
for they have had their chance
and now my mind it will pace
lonely up dark halls back and forth
as my mind it continues race
and morning becomes a little brighter
with each and every passing hour
but no rest is in sight
for this body that now is weary
so I will focus on God's true light
and know that this time, it will pass
and that I am not alone
and look only upwards from my bed
towards the truth ignorning
the stirrings found in my head

DAWN
stillness of the dawn air
the breath of mornings glory
and dancing the waltz so slowly
the feathered leaves in clusters
move in time with the breeze
like snow that melts the kiss of all that's said
as we awaken of infinite expectation
aurura of genesis new birth the opening
the slip into conscioutsness(sp)of ease
and the social serenade of the doves
they coo to greet the morn
and merge the sounds till muted
and color filters the dawning skies
the lights portal of imaginings
of ones hopes and dreams
as light it grows in mornings break
shows the approach of sunrise
sumptious the fruit of harvest upon
the fingered brances of the tree
as birds of flight hang upside down
feeding in playful glee
display of affection as light it
kisses the red tiled roof top
as all provided free
and on the other side of time
dusk was bid goodbye
the passing of moments history
with each new eventide
each day the dawn it rises the
twighlight of the morn
and who but God can stop
the cry of perpetual dawn

GOOD MORNING
You rise faithfully to greet me each morn
and your shiny dew drapes over the grassy lawn
truth of innovation springs the new ideas
and new value created on days white canvas
you are the first part of my day
you are the best of my day
the cockcrows at dawn long after midnight
has been kissed away and daybreak bursts forth
and I see the morning star burning brightly
above the red tiled roofs peaking through the trees
aurora on the ocean of sunrise's blessing to one and all
and my heart knows all is well as hope lifts higher
