OCEANS CALL
The rushing of waves at midnight
pound upon the sandy shores
It's thunderous sound
permeates my ears
with its constant rushing roar
Moonlight on tips of waves
spreads its shimmering
reflective light
And I listen to the oceans call and
am left gazing at his starless
halfmoon night
though bereft of heavens stars
hat would fil the cavern above
The horizon was lit with a
million city lights, as beside
me laid my love
And there we laid up in our loft
embraced in each others arm
waiting for the gently hours to pass
as morining brings it's calm

"SUMMER'S LADY"
and times hands, the shadows playfully
caressed her beasts
as filtered sunlight through the many
fingers of green leaves danced as
the sun set in the west
for she had no where to be
and spent her day lying in the fileded
grasses her summer so care free
The wind it played it's music
rustling from tree to tree
and it too joined the cicada
chorus, creating harmony
and the birds they gathered upon
the lowered boughs and branches
to greet summers lady fare
to find a lady so free of spirit
in the forests clearing,
all agreed was rare
and watched they as now her lover
joined her on the forest floor
and by her side laid there
as their bodies melted in mid summers
heat, for the song of summers passions
pure loved was declared.

LOVES FIRE
dimly fearless fire lit
ponders listlessly, eager
so dark the sorrowful smile
moping gently, cruel
mad mountaintops run, pompous
placid paternal seeks to protect
orchestra pounds the keyboards
a lover loved so carefully
the misery surrendered both of them
the nice despair gave you a sweet desire
as desire died in me
heartbroken girl loved her so softly
a captivating girl whispered stormy
the desiring of fire that danced
the frenetic rose surrendered
you cuddled a placid breeze quickly
as anguished sweet touched my ear
and a soft flame cried deafening
a burning fantasy died passionately
the languishing heart touched the carnal fire
such love destroyed beyond repair
stormy passion fondled me carefully
a lover kissed a sad passion tenderly
the beautiful girl died

WILD GINGER - Sheng Jiang
Luxurious seductress your quality of the evening
energy and life, treatise of passion
sensuous and compartmenatalised
aesthetic beauty that awakens the senses
Wild Ginger spice of Asia tropical delight
aromatic and leafy reed like stems
perennial passion of sheng jiang
cultivation of the wild heat that
waits beneath the ground
tropical spirit so lively yet contained
your perfume breaks me out of the night
and lures me to you and in the waking
hours you are recognised in daylight
great is the fervour you stir in those
around you, and everyone your ardent admirer
and you know the power of your ginger
that grows wild in the locks of your hair
that falls beyond your shoulders
fiery intensity bursts on my lips
and yet my zeal is called to repress
the furious ardor that rises deep within
enduring the imposed inflicted pain
of susceptibility to your beauty
wild ginger you are madness to my soul
obsolete my suffering of ardent affection
intense emotion compelled and stirring
you leave me in an ungovernable state
if you will only look my way and stay
a while in my company for you have
intoxicated me and rendered me useless
unmistakable your presence when you are near
my heart it yearns to be anchored
for you have chained me to the chaos you emit
Wild Ginger - sheng jiang you also calm me
you are the melody of my emotions
that sings to my very heart raw and lively
and let my eyes gaze on the pendants
the jewel of your form the
proffered fruit of your beauty

AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER
I remember the first time we met
and I remember vividly our agreement
to continue to meet under heavens canvas
An affair of the heart that has
lastedmy whole life long
your warm embrace, your tender touch
and there are times you have made me afraid
at how harshly you have wanted to touch me
rushing over my body in waves
I loved you so much and truth be known
still do that I named my child after you
Today when I met you, you signalled
silently to me from afar to let me
know that you will soon be here
And I waited excitedly for you to
show your face and caress my being
and you came and you waited for my husband
to leave the house so that we may enjoy
our time alone together undisturbed...
It was like old times each time that
we meet as though no time has passed
and yet I'm older while you remain the same
I like the way you can stay for days
but even winter must have its season
and leave and so must you
and I count the days till when we
will meet again
I look out my window and see you there
staring back at me from the trees as
if to wave goodbye and take
one more lasting look
I knew you were watching me yesterday
and I knew it was you that came and
tapped me lightly on the shoulder
before I ran for cover
Rain you are the reason that makes my
summer bliss,
Rain you are the reason my spirits lift
and make my heart amiss
Rain you are the joyous petals that
fall upon my face
Rain you are the blessing of taste buds
of pure grace.

BUTTERFLY TRAILS
Emerges friendships
from seasons chrysalis
cocooned in lifes protection
of what has longed lied dormant
and softly on your bare
shoulder lay butterfly kisses
the passion of joy so
very now transparent
and I am free for all my days
leaving butterfly trails
