VOWS II
I stand before you an imperfect man
but my heart desires to be perfect for you
May I strive always for respect and honor of you
May you always find me patient and kind
with no record keeping of wrongs
my heart is always yours
I will strive to be a man worthy of your trust
as long as breath is in me
I promise to always appreciate your uniqueness
When it rains - I will be your shelter
When the sun beats down upon your brow - I will provide you shade
When storms come upon us - you will find me always holding your hand
When the winds whip about your form - I will soothe your cuts
When you find it difficult to breath when life is overwhelming - I will give you joyfully my last breath
When your have born all my children - I will take great delight in you
When you are old - I love every line that tells me you loved me, every grey hair that says you were with me....
For you are my life and breath
You are my rock and home that steadys my heart and gives me bold courage
Today I give you all these things
for you are worthy to be loved and loved well

spring, Cherry Blossom, friendship, love
...
B]CHERRY BLOSSOM
Dedicated to my loving husband who recommitted
our wedding vows in the season of Sakura
in Fukuoka 2007 where friendships blossom
and always in season
You whispered and called
to me from a far land
across the sea
Sidaresakura the weeping
cherry tree cried
tears of joy
For the blessing of
union your beauty
did deploy
Fresh new buds appear
full bloom -the green
leaves follow your lead
Cultivated Sakura as
we gather for the mount
of hanami
five, twenty, one hundred
petals lightly tinged
with pink white hue
Gather and line the
streets and scape
the parks and waters edge
Imperial households gathered
under your beauty
but rivalled not your
own nobility
Spring time blossoms
herald the coming season
gentle slmost unnoticed
flowering of enlightenment
New life emerges on
wooden dead branches
as winter withers away
Skies open and bestow
looking upon with pleased
affection
And in the blink of a
passing eye you came
and conquered hearts a many
such intricate floral design of
nature gift of God
lakes shimmered water
receives your petalled kiss
that floats down upon
wings of gentle breeze
That gathers one last
glorious display to bid
us evening at the end of day
