Craft Project

At our Fellowship someone asked for volunteers to do a blanket project for a Home for the Elderly here in Tianjin. We volunteered to do two, and I thought of the brilliant idea of taking them to our weekly "English Corner" with our Chinese University friends. We took our school colleague, Holly, along and taught them to cut a fringe and tie knots all around these two blankets. They loved it and were glad to be a part of making someone's day !
You may have noticed the words on the chalkboard (yes, they still use chalk here in the university). This was the Thursday before Thanksgiving, and an English teacher had put some "food" words. Mark added his favorite foods to the list. We haven't had "sweet tea" in so long we forgot what it's like ! In fact we prefer "no ice" now...and sometimes just hot water.
