365 Photos !!!

,

My Contribution (Mi contribución)

Memoria: 2x 2GB Kingston DDR2 800 corriendo a dual channel.
Video: XFX 9800GT 512MB ram DDR3
Discos: 1x Samsung 320 GB SATA II y 2x Samsung 250GB SATA II.
Monitor Samsung 17" DVI (4:3)

The show is over

Yes, well, I'm bumped too, My PC is busted. I don't know what happened but after two years of a perfect run yesterday I had 2 blue screens one after the other. The symptoms HD failure, yeah my disk is toasted... but which one?
I have three disks on my machine, one for the system and some files and the others for games and multimedia, but the logs in windows don't seem to be quite as precise as you'd like them to be so I'm checking them all for errors. In the mean time, I'm running on a crippled system with 1/3 of it's real storage capacity.
Guess I'm lucky I didn't buy that 1 TB HD when I had the chance, at least I lost one out of three HD's and not THE one.
MY girlfriend is going to kill me though when she finds out I have to spend money again om my lover.. haha... no seriously, she hates it when I have to buy things for the PC (like she never uses it) or like I don't work and live of it.
Anyway, I had to write it and get it off my system.

The writing competition

I'm entering the competition (let's see how that goes) with this article PLEASE READ IT AND RATE IT!!
I promise to behave bigsmile
Now seriously, I really want to have your opinion, it's not that I'm considering writing as a career but it is the first time I do something like this and I want to know how you feel about the article so, be honest, be fair and if you didn't like it cry keep it to yourself devil (just kidding)

Cheers.

Innovation (or "The Opera Browser")

I was browsing through the community the other day and I noticed the writing competition. I know I'm not much of a writer but I thought I'd give it a chance, after all I use Opera all day, I mean I must know something about it.
Of course the topic had already been chosen by Opera: Innovation. Ha, they didn't rock their brains with it… rolleyes
But of course, if there is a word to define Opera's Commitment to technology, that is Innovation.
Take the Desktop Browser for example: there you have a piece of code that can allow you to (and the order is just as it comes to my mind): a) Browse the Internet, securely; b) Send and receive mails in the simplest of ways; c) you can Customize it in any way, shape or form you choose; d) read Feeds and keep them updated without hustle; e) It is an IRC chat client!; and finally UNITE, the soon to be crown jewel of Opera, because come on, did you ever imagine it would be sooo simple to do what Unite let's you do? Create and host a web server at your own PC, Share all kinds of files and Stream music (pretty soon there will be other content to, you bet), Host a chat server for you, your friends, family and whomever you want to invite there, have a cool post it on the fridge when someone dropped by and didn't find you, and the list goes on and on.
So there you have it, with just one example, and to make a long story short, this goes to show people that innovation does not mean copying stuff that works from other people, and camouflaging them with lights and shines; it means creating them, whether they work or not (you can read this insightful statistics: Reality show Results...) and then have other people copy you, yes, you know what I'm talking about.
So kudos Opera, keep spoiling us with brilliant ideas and making the Web whatever we want it to be, one PC (or MAC bigsmile ) at a time.
