Merry Christmas!

Synths

Exciting times at Vangelis Heights.

As we see from the leading Vangelis news source, the man himself was on Front Row tonight. He spoke to Mark Lawson from his luxury studio in front of a bank of synths several metres high1, and improvised a few noodlings at Lawson's prompting.

Vang the man has been busy - new music on a Bladerunner tip, along with previously missing bits of the soundtrack, have found their way onto a three cd set. There's also a brand new OST to the film El Greco, which you shouldn't confuse with his previous studio album called, erm, El Greco.

The interview with Mark Lawson is on Listen Again til next Wednesday evening.

1Possibly. Actual height may vary.

Thanks for that Pete. The man has magic fingers. I recently picked up the original director's cut of Bladerunner on DVD for a few quid. Best few quid I've spent in ages.

Wouldn't mind hearing the new stuff though.

Had a chance to have a look at that site. Great Vangelis resource. Makes me want to increase my collection (China, Opera Sauvage & the other 70's stuff - as well as J&V)
