A Canadian in Ireland

Doesn't have the ring of "An American in Paris" (or even "An American at Opera") but what can you do?

It just hit me

,

The other day I was talking to someone about my brother's fiance, and I referred to her as
My future sister-in-law.

After I'd said it, the full meaning of that phrase suddenly dawned on me.

Need to start thinking of a good wedding present.
Bad ones include the ones my parents still have in the original packaging:
salt and pepper shakers
glasses (wine, spirit glasses for non-drinkers!)
plates and bowls
weirdly decorated sporks

No offense hungry. There was quite a crowd that night and I wasn't sure if you remembered.

Already thinking about that Kim, no decisions yet. They're pretty well kitted out for the practical things.

sporks, weirdly decorated. On sale now, at The Dollar Store!

It's nice, isn't it Mickey, when the person your sibling gets married to would have been a friend, anyway? :D

Thanks Kay

Doesn't hurt Dennis, but I couldn't picture him with anyone who wouldn't get on with the rest of the family.

Ha, wait till you get to say "the future Mrs Mickeyjoe" then the shock really kicks in:D

The best of luck to them for their future together.
The best wedding gift to get is cool hard cash, lets you pick what you really need imho

:yikes: :faint:

Cash is a possibility, but I'll have to talk to them and see if there's anything in particular they'd be looking for.

I'm too, of mine!! And I love seeing happy families out and about too... Makes me happy too!!

Hmmm... I'm not just fond of my family... I love them fiercely. Should any bad thing come over them, it's over my dead body... That's how overprotective I am...

Oh yes, anything would have to go through me first. And that would not be easy.

I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone at the wedding. Roll on July.
