No not yours. I'm not fishing for compliments here, or criticism for that matter.

I feel I need to say something to all you good people whose blogs I follow. Just because I haven't left a comment lately doesn't mean that I'm not still avidly reading your posts. It's just I'm not feeling particularly witty, profound, or original - or, depending on my energy levels, relevant or even coherent.

Also, if it's an older post that I haven't gotten too yet and there's already a string of comments, I can find it hard to jump into a "conversation" that's on the go. I have the same problem in the big blue room.

What it boils down to is I believe when one of you goes to the trouble of making a post you deserve a good comment which shows my appreciation and hopefully adds something. If I can't do that then I think it's better to keep my mouth shut. If anything, it's a failure on my part.

Some of you already know Pfelelep a very talented, and funny, artist here on My Opera who draws amazing cartoons.

A while back he held a contest on his blog.

I sent him a submission. And I was lucky enough to be one of the winners

This meant I won a sketch by Pfelelep. He sent me a link so that I could download it...

But I'd like to send you the ORIGINAL sketch by postal services.

Which was more than generous of him.

It took a little longer than it should have...

the sketch I sent you just went back to me: it seems that I misspelled the address (or I'm sketching better than I'm writing).

(I'm sure it was the mail and not his fault)

But it finally arrived in the post today

1. Work in a call center - been there, done that. NEVER again.
   
2. Any job where I'd have to deal with spiders -
   
3. Construction worker in Ireland - this is no climate to be working outside.
   
4. Radioactive Mouse turd cleaner - not for the reason you think. It's so specialised I'd be afraid of putting someone else out of work
   
5. Anything in sales - just doesn't appeal to me in the slightest.

I'm back Did you miss me?

True, I didn't really go anywhere, but like so many others on My Opera I've just been to busy to blog.

Anyway, I do make it back and what do I see but Marcus has given me a friendship award.

Amazing what a few silly, smart-arse comments on a blog can do. ( There I go again.)
