Kris Kaspersky

A well known Russian hacker. Kris is the author of a number of publications in the areas of reverse engineering, protection cracking, code optimization, etc. In his free time from computers, Kris enjoys astronomy. Kris is a big fan of Frank Herbert's Dune which he quotes frequently in his works.
Kaspersky started using Pravetz 8D (Bulgarian Oric Atmos clone) computer in 6th grade. After finishing high school, Kris continued self-education through book studies and code analysis.
Kris have frequently participated in FIDO's RU.HACKER discussion board in the early 90s.
Kaspersky's career as a computer security author began in 1999 with a publication of Techniques and Philosophy of Hacker Attacks (Техника и философия хакерских атак). Kris is a regular writer for popular computer magazines such as Xakep, Computerra, and others.
In 2008, Kris will present his research at HITB 2008 conference on exploitation of bugs in Intel processors.
