FREEDOM

, , , ...

You know how I experience freedom? When I drive...then I'm free.
I, Mizz Martínez, got to borrow my friend Hernán's car yesterday. Not because I needed it but because he was going to get drunk and needed somebody to take his car from KTH over the night. I gladly offered myself to do it.

You know when I'm happy? When I see this:

I'm off to a FUIS-meeting now and then to KTH to return the car to his owner.

:sing:  :sing: :headbang: :sing:

It seems like my exam-study-period has started already! :D You want proof of it? Well, let me tell you about my eating behaviours. Today I've drinken a lot of Coca Cola, 1 chocolate bar, have 1,5 L of Pepsi waiting for me, some Yoghurt with honey, bread, peanut butter and honey, and chocolate-dipped nuts.
Usually, at this time, I use to be browsing on the Internet, reading a magazine/book, goofing around with Muñeco or going to bed. But now I'm just about to start to study again after a two hours break which consisted of a walk with Muñe to the shopping mal to get the special ingredients for my studies (unhealthy food) and a long talk with Helen over Skype.
So, now I'll return to "Constructivism", "To understand International Conflicts" and "The Globalization of World Politics"

What have you been up to?

"Bitter Cunt"

, , , ...

I needed to pick a book at the SNDU and since it is situated next to KTH I had lunch with Wen, and later we had a small picknick/fika afterwards in the sun.

Anyways, I posted the pictures just because they are special...

The main reason to this post is to discuss the following topic: What would you say about a woman who has a husband and a 2 year old son, decides to leave her everyday life for a trip on her own 1 week?

I got a wonderful book as a birthday present from Elma Here we are sitting on the stairs to Marseille's train- and busterminal
The book is called "Bitterfitta", when translated to English it would be "Bitter Cunt". And the topic of the book? How people react depending on whether you are a woman or a man. :irked:

My first opinion to the question I stated above was: "How can she do such thing!", but then I continued to read and I realized that society has given me a picture of how life should be, and women are the ones who have to do the hardest work. My response to my stated question now (even though I've just read 10 pages of the book) is: "Sure, why not. She is a free soul/person and doesn't have to be bonded to any moral "society" regulations."

So, what do you say? :eyes:

Ding - Seeed

, , , ...

I have a new favourite song..actually, the first German one. And the reason to why I found this song is because of Annika who was in Sthlm during a whole week. Now she is back in Bremen, and she has left a big print in this appartment. Music for me, and longing for Muñeco.

The lyrics are not the best (after having translated them to English I realized it) but the rythm is so perfect.

Please, enjoy or hate it! I love this song!!!

I've been working pretty hard with some FUIS-related applications. Soon, it's definitely time to sleep. Tomorrow or on Saturday will come a summary of this past week and perhaps some thoughts of mine.

A small update of my birthday. There wasn't much celebration really.
Uni - seminar - FUISmeeting

Dinner at my place, and I got some roses. The first gift so far.

It's so nice to get congratulations. Really. 35 congratulations from the friends who are close and not so close on fb, around 10 text messages congratulating me...and 9 here on MyOpera. All of them VERY appreciable of course. :hat:

Any partying soon? Yes, on Saturday if not before! p:

I should go to bed now...

Inglourious Basterds

, , , ...

It's funny actually! Every single time I'm studying, I end up writing posts. It relieves me from my stress perhaps. Don't know! p:

Anyways, the chapters that I've read for tomorrow's lecture in the books that I'm reading for my current IR-course, have enlightened me about the different actions taken during the World War I, and the World War II. I didn't know much about the different leaders who had different roles during the wars. Wilson, Hitler, Mussolini, etc. Sure, I had heard their names...but never learnt enough to understand the different situations.
A couple of things are sure though. Hitler was evil. Hitler was intelligent. Hitler was at the right time in the right place. Destiny perhaps? Could be!

Anyways, I went to the movies this Tuesday with ISS KTH and saw "Inglourious Basterds", the latest movie of Quentin Tarantino. Sometimes I thought..."Gosh, will it end soon?", but my overall view of the movie is: ULTRA-AWESOME! Definitely a movie worth seeing.

The best actor with best replies... Chrisoph Waltz

The most handsome actor...Daniel Brühl  and the best part, he is German! :D :headbang:

FUIS-reception!

, , , ...

So, last Thursday was the reception of FUIS to the new students of the program. And it turned out to be quite good even though our tent broke down due to harsh winds. Hopefully the coming days will be even better for FUIS!
Here are some pictures from Thursday.

Glasgow-Edinburgh

, , , ...

I really can't postpone this post any longer. Cause many new happenings are on their way. So, here we go. Where did I end? My second day in Glasgow had passed by. The third day in that beautiful city...well, we didn't do much at all.
Walked to the bus station to purchase the tickets to Edinburgh...and found the emblem of Glasgow on the way there.

I ate a typical Scottish dish, which's name I can't recall, with a beer.

And the shopping tour began. If there is a city where you should shop...it is GLASGOW! :headbang:

When I bought my stuff at Primark..I was posing with my big shopping bag...

and out of nowhere a gang of boys asked if they could be in the picture.

Perhaps I'm meant to marry a Scottish?

We were pretty tired after shopping tour, so we sat down and I had my Ginger Beer.

Afterwards we finally travelled to Edinburgh and slept in a church. It's actually a hostel, but before it was a church. So awkward to sleep in a church, but in Scottland nothing surprises you. There are restaurants, hostels, clubs, etc in churchs. :headbang:

The day after we started out tour in the capital of Scotland by walking towards the castle.

We also entered a factory of kilts...

and went on a whisky tour where we got to find our Whisky...the one that fits one perfectly. But I didn't found any. Whisky is simply not for me. I found other things more appealing...

We continued to see more of the city and the Old Town. Visited St Giles...

And suddenly we started to follow a free guided tour. My description of it: WOW! :eyes: (I'll have to do another post of the guided tour in Edinburgh).
But a short summery comes here: We got to see the original Harry Potter school...

And got to see where Bobby's owner was buried...

Above: Me and the statue of Bobby

The first day in Edinburgh was completed by a traditional Scottish dish, Haggis! It tastes...awesome, even though it consists of:

sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach for approximately three hours.

WazUp?

I was watching my profile pictures on Facebook, and found the first picture that had been uploaded...and the last one. Almost the same haircut, and sunglasses on. But do you see what has changed? Apart from me becoming older? The picture on the left was taken in Morocco (Marrakech) january, 2007. The picture on right was taken in Germany (Bremen) april, 2009.
The one who sees the difference will get a postcard all the way from Sthlm!!!

Find THE difference!

Virpal will be missed

, , , ...

I planned to blog about the happenings in Scotland, but there are too many pictures to choose between so I’ll leave it for later.
So, I’ll blog about what I remember for sure. Virpy’s goodbye dinner at Mike’s place…and the lunch we had today at Virpy’s place.
The dinner at Mike’s place took place yesterday. Me and Wen had been on the road since early afternoon to have a bath in the lake because of the good weather.

On the beach we started to eat our watermelon, but the rain came above us before we could finish it. So we had to hide away and start the ride to Mike’s place. But the sun came back and we decided to take the bath in the lake…but not on the beach.

Later we finally started to ride our bikes to Mike’s. But it took a while. First of all, Muñeco couldn’t continue running all the way to Mike's...so he asked for permission and sat in Wen's bike.

When we finally arrived dinner was ready. And I'm astonished by all the work that Mike put into the dinner. He is such an awesome guy! :D Here below are pictures from the dinner...and a video from a little fight between me and Virpy. One thing is for sure, I can't remember when I laughed so much as yesterday.

Oh, and today we had a lunch at Virpy's place, and we got to eat what I love the most...Indian, real Indian, food! :chef:

Virpy, you'll be missed!!! Have fun in Singapore!!!

Towards Airport

, , , ...

Hi there! Long time no see? p: I'm sitting on the bus on my way to Skavsta Airport, about 80 minutes from the city of Sthlm, where the cheapest airlines travel from. My former classmates, three of them - Ewa, Fabian and Kristoffer - are on another bus of another company. I'm in the new RyanAir-bus, which is cheaper and has wireless internet. It cannot rock more to be on the way to the airport and be able to write stupid little notes on your blog, right? p:

I should be doing some work for ADIC. I'll do it soon, and then sleep some more. Apparently, the others were worried that I wouldn't make it! awww I remember when all of us were 15 years old and we went on a ski-trip for four days. I was skiing in a very high velocity and when suddenly I couldn't slow...so I fell down and did a couple of roll-overs. I got a concussion, and couldn't stop. Kristoffer was one of the first people to arrive to the accident place. He started to yell my name. I didn't answer..I heard what he said, but couldn't answer. The concussion was too heavy. So he started to yell to the others in the vecinity that I was dead.

Oki, now I've got to work! Hopefully I'll have access to Internet in the place where we'll be staying! :hapy:

Ps. For the first time in my life, I don't feel very good travelling away from Muñeco. Why?

, , , ...

I'll soon be leaving my place. I've been hugging Muñeco, and forcing him to sleep with me countless number of times...and that even though I've slept less than two hours. I fixed my haircut...and I'm ready to see how a wedding looks like!
I'm off to Warzaw, Poland...and then we'll ride the bus to a city/small town called Kazimierz two hours away from the capital.

Write from the bus. I've got to take a walk with my MUÑECO!

I have no idea what dress I'll wear though. Mind helping me out?

Dry humour

, , , ...

Another relaxing day has passed by, and more will come. It feels so nice to be on holidays.
More PhotoBoot.

I met Mikael in the evening, to get some special gifts to the soon to be married couple. It didn't take much time to do that, but to write in the purchased postcards took A LOT of time. But we had fun while writing in them. Hopefully, Carro and Martin will like our dry humour.

Fabian couldn't show up tonight, so Mikael and I went on a romantic dinner again...at McDonalds! Neither of us were hungry, we simply wanted to get the free glass to be able to get the new collection. No adult-points there. Not that we need them anyways. :headbang:

Even though I'm on vacation from uni, there is one thing that worries me. To not know what will happen in the next two weeks. I'm a person who needs to plan every single week or I can't move on. At the moment I don't have any idea what will happen, I simply know which options I've got. I need a third option at the moment, I hope it's waiting for me around the corner of next week. p:

Even though I've done nothing requiring much effort today, I'm awfully tired. Time to hit my bed now. But first, a walk with my wonderful boy.
