My Friday

I set the alarm clock at 5.45 to go up early and be out of my house at around 6.30 to go to the gym and have a fresh start of the day, but no...I woke up when the alarm clock rang but I just turned it off and woke up an hour later.
I decided to go out to study to the "Palace of students" and on my way I started to search for the card needed to enter the building, and guess what. It wasn't in my wallet. So instead of going back home in search for my card I decided to go to Kulturhuset (transl. The house of culture) that is a completely okay study-place. On my way from the subway to Kulturhuset I decide to buy a caffé latté (sp?),
it was quite cheap and I remembered that last time I had bought the same beverage it had been okay, but this time it wasn't
Anyways, I head for Kulturhuset with the not very tasty caffé latté in my hand, sipping it and the place is closed and will open first an hour later!
So I decide to go to the Stockholm Public Library instead, a place I was sure that I would be able to be in. What I hadn't noticed was that I had spilled caffé latté on my black Canada Goose.
To sum it in a nutshell, my morning didn't start very well.
I made quite a lot during my 5 hours in the library, read two long articles (out of nine) and took notes. However, at around noon I lift up my head from my articles and see a familiar face. An old classmate from elementary school! The last time we met was in November when he was starting his shift as a busdriver on my route and I was going to work [We exchanged numbers then and promised to call and set a date for a coffee in town.] Being the lazy me, I didn't want to go to the place where he was sitting so I decided to text him instead and tell him that I wasalmost very close to him. I was about to send it to him when he was standing next to me.
I started to laugh and we decided to eat something later after having done some work on our own. So, we went out a couple of hours later and head to McDonalds where none of us had been in for a good while, both took BigMac&Co with Coke without ice! It was hillarious!
We chatted about old times and about what people are doing currently...the same talk as always.
Looking out of the window we started to criticize some 'stupid' teenagers who were riding bikes for children out into a pool of water, soaking their feet in the water and pouring it out of their shoes as if it would help against the cold!
It was very pleasant to be with him, chatting about nothing special (memories, life, future, old classmates, parents to our classmates).
Hopefully we'll have a reunion of the class soon...the question is where we would have it.
Almost all of our classmates, including ourselves, are still living at home...so it's not very simple to fix a place where we could chill out and hang.
I was supposed to go to the gym but I wasn't in the mood. I've been having a lot of pain in my left knee, the same kind of pain as I had when I used to practice basket ball 24/7. The pain was a 'disease' pro players get when they over-exercise and the kneecaps are being teared down, most known as Schlatter. I don't think it's the exercise that has given me pain only, it could be the cold as well. As soon as I take a walk a cold day I feel the pain in my knee. As soon as I have run 3 km in the gym...I feel the pain as well, but mostly on my daily walks
I've been watching "This is England" tonight, what a brilliant movie! Adorable actors...I truly recommend it to everybody!
