An invasion foiled by someone close to Moesring's heart

Once upon a time (well, just after midnight on Thursday morning, to be precise) there was a failed intrusion at Moesring's home. At first, Moesring thought that the scratching noise around the front door was caused by his cats. After all, anyone that has had cats will know that they are inclined to make noise at all hours of the day - but particularly when people are trying to sleep. :ko: Of course, being a nocturnal creature, they wouldn't have been stopping Moesring from sleeping at that time anyway. :D

The previous time that there were strange noises coming from the outside of the door in the dead of night, it was caused by what you're probably thinking of. Would-be burglars. The would-be in this case is because their plan was foiled. They were disturbed whilst trying to force the door open - they scarpered and so the valuables stayed inside the premises... where they belong.

So, when this unexpected noise refuses to cease, Moesring half-expected it to be because someone was trying to get in. Unfortunately, it turns out that Moesring was right. This intruder was no more successful than the predecessors above, but Moesring got a picture of the attempted trespasser.

A mangy cat

Yes, it isn't a very good picture but Moesring isn't very good at taking pictures.
Particularly ones that are grooming themselves, and are completely invisible according to the screen on the camera.

Admittedly, this intruder is a lot less sinister than you may have been led to expect, but it is still true. This is not one of Moesring's cats. In fact, he has never seen it before, but it was determined to get in. Almost as though it genuinely thought that it lived there.

It was not until the morning that Moesring realised why the cat was so desperate to get in. For those equally as slow as Moesring, the cat is obviously Permit and she is desperately trying to seek asylum now that her nation has fallen to Furtopia. It makes perfect sense, doesn't it? :left:
The only flaw with the plan is that she was denied entry to Minstrelia because she failed to satisfy one of the numerous immigration criteria. Specifically, she was not allowed in because she failed to provide the evidence below:

Minstrelian Immigration Criteria: page 10,549,498,457

Candidates must be able to give the corrected version of the popular question “Kan jeg økse dig et spørgsmål?”
Until she tells me what it is, she won't be getting into Minstrelia.

:sst: Or maybe it was a male that could smell females in the house - and thus the interloper's thoughts were exactly the same as those who send PMs to all the ladies (and men with stubble :beard::left:) on My Opera. Surely, Moesring needn't elaborate on this any further. :yuck:

In any case, this story has a happy ending. As alluded to in the introduction of this post, this intruder was also repelled. Not by Moesring though, but by one of the other residents. Here's a picture of the one that was determined to have no one coming in and stealing her food/warmth/people/catnip/etc.

The pretty, irresistibly sweet cat that fended off the invader.

 sorry dude. I didn't know what to say! I still don't! :left: . I enjoyed reading it, though.

Moesring 21. September 2009, 10:10

I'm disappointed with you. :left:
I was hoping that you'd respond with a  so that I could put  and we'd have the complete set of directions. awww

I didn't know what to say! I still don't!

If you want, I can put words in your mouth  (Or in your comments, if you'd prefer P:).

Furie 21. September 2009, 11:00

Hey, keep your words to your own girl's mouth. I know what a guy's mind is like. It only starts with words... p:

You may tamper with my comments if you wish, man. On your head be it p:

Cat burglars are rare around here. p:.

MizzMartinez 21. September 2009, 22:37

Cat burglar? Didn't you judge him/her very harsh? The poor cat perhaps simply needed a warm family... :o:

Moesring 21. September 2009, 23:34

:Furie:: Curses! Foiled again. awww

HAP: So, you're condoning me meddling with your comments?
I just wish I could think of something evil to put in your comments. Sometimes, I hate being so sweet and innocent. :left:

Kerst: Well, the cat definitely wouldn't find a warm family here. That lovely cat above (the second one) made sure of that. awww:cat:

You sure have a lot of pages dealing with immigration in Minstrelia! :faint:

Zaphira 22. September 2009, 20:42

Allthough it wasn't me who tried to enter Minstrelia, I can assure you that there is no correct version of "kan jeg økse dig et spørgsmål". I've tried to come up with a pun that actually works, but I can't. awww
I guess I'll have to stay out of Minstrelia for good. :frown:

Furie 22. September 2009, 20:49

Another ally lost. :hat: Victory is close!

Zaphira 22. September 2009, 21:00

You wish!

The allies are all mine!

MizzMartinez 22. September 2009, 21:00

Poooooooor cat!

Moesring 23. September 2009, 14:27

Rose: Makes you pity the officials that have to memorise the entire book, doesn't it? :left:

:Zaphira:: If you can't invent a pun that works, you could always share a pun that doesn't. It's not as though I'll be able to tell that it is nonsensical, after all.

Kerst: Are you trying to make me feel guilty? awww
If so, what would you have done if this happened to you, instead of me?

MizzMartinez 23. September 2009, 22:57

I would have given the cat to my mother, since she likes cats more than I do. p:
