1. Almost là trạng từ, có nghĩa là nearly. Vì nó là trạng từ nên nó bổ nghĩa cho động từ, giới từ, trạng từ và tính từ.
Tuy nhiên nó cũng có thể đi với anybody, anything, hay no one,nobody, hay all, everybody, every

Ví dụ:
- I'll eat almost anything. (Tôi sẽ ăn hầu hết mọi thứ)
- Almost no one believed him. (Hardly anyone believed him). Hầu như không ai tin anh ta.
- I like almost all of them. (Tôi thích hầu hết bọn họ)
- It is a mistake they almost always make. (almost bổ nghĩa cho trạng từ always).
- Dinner is almost ready. (almost bổ nghĩa cho tính từ ready)

Note: Chúng ta không thể sử dụng almost đi với các danh từ khác như almost students, almost people Mà chúng ta phải dùng MOST


2. MOST + NOUN = MOST of the + NOUN = hầu hết

Most people that I have invited came. = Most of the people that I have invited came.

I like most vegetables = I like most of the vegetables.


3. ALL + NOUN (dạng số nhiều) = ALL the + NOUN = tất cả

All the students do not go to school this afternoon.
All five men are hard workers.
All my plants have died.

4.ONE of the + NOUN (dạng số nhiều) = một trong những

He is one of the most handsome boys in my groups.
One of the big rivers in Vietnam is Red River.
