Reflections of a Compassionate Misanthrope

Love Questions

If I'm to love my bride
the way Christ loves His
whom may I reject?
What malady, disease
or personal woe
gives me leave to love but go?

What struggle may I refuse to fight?
Understanding? Compromise?
Admit to wrong when I know I'm right?
If in your eyes I see my heart
which challenge could drive us apart?

If we two are one in God's sweet grace
what right have we to Love replace
with separate dreams and ruined lives
and shattered hearts of childrens' cries?

Does Love look on us with an indulgent eye?
Are we forgiven when angels cry?
If in your heart I find my way
what right have I to go away?

The approbation of the Star Sisters. Does this mean I have arrived??

And thank you, SP. Sorry for the loss of your hero Dan Fogelberg. The world has lost a wonderful musician.

Whaddaya think, Dancer? Has Michael "arrived"? (I'd say so.)

Thank you for your sympathy, Michael. My heart is rather tender today.

I've never understood that "arrived" thing. I guess it just depends on where he was headed, ya' know?
